The technician quoted an estimate of $200 before we began the repair and then tried to charge me $320 after he was completed, when the repair went faster than expected. Eventually he changed the repair code to something else to lower the price back to what we discussed, but I felt like I was getting swindled. Repair went great otherwise.

The service repairman would not answer why I was continuing to experience a frost buildup issue though he stated the issue with the freezer did not need the heater he ordered during the problem shooting visit. He stated the freezer needs defrosting when in fact, it had been. The ice buildup was occurring post defrosting indicating the issue was still present. He said the freezer needed to be defrosted again with the unit unplugged. When I asked him to help me move the refrigerator to access the plug, he refused and told me it wasn’t his house or refrigerator and felt no need to do so. This was his response to a woman, not to help move the refrigerator to do what he suggested. In sum, he did not replace the part with the new part he ordered. I have never received such service from Sears, he was very rude and unwilling to listen.

Cancelled my appointment 3 times and delayed a week each time. Took 4 weeks to get someone out to repair my fridge. And there is zero ways to talk to a person. It is all AI now. They don’t have a manager managing their subcontractors anymore. Even their subcontractors have no way to talk to the scheduling office. When they cancel you and tell you, they delayed a week due to your request, even though you didn’t make that request, there’s absolutely nothing you can do about it. Do not use Sears anymore. However, the tech contractor they used did a good job… eventually.

Your entire warranty plan is horrible, useless and overpriced. I think we will join the class action suit against you for claiming after the fact that we do not own “covered” appliances. We are not done.

Sears customer service is horrible - no wonder they had to file chapter 11. Between the numerous AI texts, the 3 week delay in scheduling and then a tech who wanted me to sign something that was inaccurate and thus left without looking at the Washer, I won’t shop at Sears again in my life. I have even gone so far as to call American Home Shield Warranty to make sure a complaint is filed for the inadequate customer service I received from Sears. Someone who is not an AI can call me to get all the details.
