Great communication both by text & email. Serviceman was quick. Disappointed that repair took 2 months & 3 trips with 1 cancellation, which occurred just after part arrived to my condo. Felt obligated to discount monthly payment for my temp renter and had to buy them a mini frig. Appliance was less than 6 months old. I never connected with a human(only AI)...until repairman arrived.

The technician did a good job. He was quick and efficient. What we didn't like is that he wanted to charge us $60 to vacuum the lint from our dryer. He said that this wasn't covered by our home coverage policy. We don't feel that this was right. This should have been done, regardless, as part of the service.

Not blaming anyone except perhaps the corporate structure, but my much-needed follow-up repair appointment was cancelled and rescheduled without notice at the end of the day for the next day, so I was waiting around all day and had to go to the laundromat. So, better communication would have been appreciated to save me a wasted day. Still, the machine is fixed now, so that’s good.

Steve (Sears Home Svc Technician) arrived promptly at designated time. He checked both my water heaters for $238 at $119. each and two separate air conditioning units $278 at $139.00 each totaling $ 518. .Steve.ensured me that ALL 4-items water heater and HVAC were in good working condition - no maintenance needed or contributing to my high monthly electric bills.

The positives are, they were able to get me an appointment the next day, and the Tech was on time and very helpful. The repair is to replace the start button on a dryer, and they were trying to charge over $500 for this. To rebuy the exact same dryer brand-new is $550... Sears marks up the parts cost and wanted to charge over $300 in labor.

Does not communicate arrival window until just before arrival. A customer has to wait potentially 9 hours before arrival. With available technology today, Sears Appliance Repair does not offer short 2 hour arrival windows like some of their competitors do.

Technician never showed up for 2nd appointment to fix dryer after ordering parts after first appointment. Technician at 3rd appointment was different guy not knowing what was wrong with dryer. Technician at 3rd appointment said wrong part was ordered to fix one of the problems with dryer. Was not able to talk to anyone about these issues or for scheduling the 3rd appointment. When you call in you get recorded messages and prompts you have to go through to try to get problems fixed and schedule appointments . Very frustrating Been 3 weeks trying to get my dryer fixed also technician did not properly hook back up the dryer exhaust. Started dryer and felt hot air immediately fill up laundry room
