When I contacted Sears for service I told them in writing that I needed service on a Thermadore oven. When the technician arrived he spent two minutes examining the oven and said he could not fix it because it needed a relay board from Thermadore and they would not sell parts to sears. Why would Sears send a technician if they knew they could not get parts from Thermadore? I was charged $129.00 and threatened that if I did not pay the charge would double in 30 days. WHAT A RIP OFF!

We called him to fix the self-clean function on the oven. He rsfused ro check it or test it. This service call was a waste of time. He was a nice fellow, but did not address the issue. Not sure why Sears took the job.

At approximately 4:08, Steven arrived. I was waiting inside and heard a single, quick knock on the door. I got up immediately, but by the time I opened the door within a minute, the technician was already in his truck and driving away from the house. There was no waiting, no ring, and no second attempt to contact me. A few minutes later, I received an automated notification that the job that the technician noted I was 'not home.' This is a dishonest and unacceptable practice. This is a clear case of a technician attempting to clear an appointment from their schedule without performing the required work.

The technician who came absolutely refused to look at the problems we reported stating it was not on his ticket. We reported that the exterior unit was making an awful noise, as well as as the interior unit was making a buzzing noise. The technician who arrived on site, absolutely refused to look at anything other than the inside and stated that there would need to be another ticket. He got defensive and agitated with homeowner and was asked to leave the property. There was no service inspected or completed whatsoever. The technician had an attitude from the minute the door was answered. Very disappointing.

The link for part number and model number did not function. I entered those numbers but only got an error saying to try later. The serviceman said that they don't make parts for my model. I'm assuming that if you had gotten my numbers through the link you could have figured that out before sending out the repairman. Therefore, I'm requesting a full refund of the fee. I'm out $129 and still have no service.

The technician quoted an estimate of $200 before we began the repair and then tried to charge me $320 after he was completed, when the repair went faster than expected. Eventually he changed the repair code to something else to lower the price back to what we discussed, but I felt like I was getting swindled. Repair went great otherwise.

The service repairman would not answer why I was continuing to experience a frost buildup issue though he stated the issue with the freezer did not need the heater he ordered during the problem shooting visit. He stated the freezer needs defrosting when in fact, it had been. The ice buildup was occurring post defrosting indicating the issue was still present. He said the freezer needed to be defrosted again with the unit unplugged. When I asked him to help me move the refrigerator to access the plug, he refused and told me it wasn’t his house or refrigerator and felt no need to do so. This was his response to a woman, not to help move the refrigerator to do what he suggested. In sum, he did not replace the part with the new part he ordered. I have never received such service from Sears, he was very rude and unwilling to listen.
