Technician timely and very knowledgeable. Unfortunately the microwave/wall oven model is no longer manufactured thus replacement part(s) unavailable. Also $249 too high for the bad news

Refrigerator Compressor part went bad and got swapped out. Labor cost was a bit steep at $400 for 30 minutes but got the job done.

I appreciated the serviceman's courtesy and general pleasant personality, but the actual failure to help was aggravating. The serviceman was not well trained on my dishwasher model, but I believe that to be more a Samsung problem then a Sears servicemen problem. Samsung needs to do a better job on troubleshooting procedures. The diagnostic code (7C) is so broad that it didn't provide any new information I didn't already know before calling for a serviceman. Considering I am literally no closer to having my problem properly, or more specifically, diagnosed than before the visit, the $129 price tag is too high. But again, if Samsung wants their equipment to be serviceable, then they need to provide training, equipment drawings, or more detailed diagnostic capabilities for their equipment (or any combination of the above). The drawings available were so poor quality that we couldn't read the part numbers. The parts we could identify that MAY be the problem (not sure, because the problem could be many different things), did not have prices on them, implying we had to keep stepping up the toward the system level until we came to a part that had a price. And at that price, I may just get rid of the Samsung dishwasher and by another brand.

The technician was fantastic. He was very pleasant and very knowledgeable. He suggested a good path forward. It was a very good experience with Mr. Derrick the technician. The Sears process, and scheduling, was very impersonal and quite frustrating at times. At one point, I tried to get an update on when the technician was going to to arrive and the AI chat bot could not find my appointment. Very frustrating.
