I am always leary about umbrella home appliance services. Sears used to be the Gold Standard in appliances and tools. Now, not so much. So I was leary about trusting their Sears Protect Home Warranty. This episode was positive. My washer stopped working and I called them. The CSR was friendly and knowledgeable and friendly. I was disappointed that it was going to be a week before someone could come out, but worked around it. Derrick was ontime and pleasant. He was very attentive as he was trouble shooting the issue with the washing machine. Within about 20 minutes he determined the timer was bad. Ordered the replacement part and setup a repair appointment about 10 days out. Again a little disappointing. I received the part after about 5 days. Derrick was again timely and pleasant. I was working from home and had a sick child with me. I asked if he minded going alone to complete the repair. He stated it was fine for and about 20 minutes later returned with the job complete. I am a bit nostalgic, but I clearly remember The Sears in every town and their being trusted for the best appliances and tools. It is sad to see their decline, we don't even have a Sears store anywhere near us. I was very pleased with this experience and hope to have found a reliable source for appliance repair.
