The technician never arrived to do the service but completed all the paperwork, put in a labor charge, and falsified the customer signature. Complete fraud and horrible experience! Will never again allow Sears to be assigned to me as a service provider by anyone.
Todd C,
Unfortunately Lowes also uses them for extended warranty and I will tell you do not purchase it. Love the idea of the piece of mind it offers however the follow through just isn’t there, like everyone else,no call no show and every single person I speak with is “very sorry” With no results and good luck cracking the code to try and get to a human. I can honestly say the worst experience of my life. This has completely changed how I purchase big items

Knowledgeable and experienced but following up with warranty companies is non existent. To date, from 3/12/24 to present, we are still waiting for an update from the contractor. Would have been five stars otherwise and now he’s causing an inconvenience and delay with my replacement.

I scheduled an appointment and was given a ridiculously large window of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. for the repair. They said they would put in the notes that I preferred 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. That morning, I drove 45 miles to the house to meet them. I heard nothing from them all day, so I called them around 3:00 p.m. and was told by an automated attendant that I was the next stop and the technician would arrive between 4:27 p.m. and 5:57 p.m. Then just after 6:00 p.m. I got a text saying my appointment was rescheduled for 11 days in the future! I will never use them again.

Just from reading the other customer reviews I see that this company has zero accountability. Our refrigerator is under warranty so my home warranty company told me to contact Sears. On the 21st of February 2024 I contacted Sears to schedule an appointment. They set me up with a 8am to 5pm window which meant either my wife or I had to take off from work. Not having a working refrigerator is awful! So the appointment was scheduled for the 28th of February. From the 21st to the 28th I received several confirmations emails and text from Sears and I responded to them all. Fast forward to the 28th, I took the day off from work to meet the "8am to 5pm" window. It has been a week without a refrigerator so we threw away approximately $400 worth of food. After being home all day I received a text message at 5:16pm saying that my appointment was rescheduled to the 6th of March! Immediately I called customer service and he was worthless and clueless to why the appointment was rescheduled. I told customer that "It is unacceptable to give anyone an 8am to 5pm window and no show without even a courtesy call."Customer service agreed with me but couldn't do a thing about it but just say "I am sorry." My wife and I was furious, sadden, hurt, and disappointed with the thought of going over 2 weeks without a refrigerator. Left with no other option, we went to Lowes at around 6pm to purchase a new refrigerator. We just can't go another week without a refrigerator. I will never do business again with anything dealing with Sears Service. Again, there is no accountability with their business as usual attitudes. Unacceptable to have this kind of customer service in 2024!

This company is apparently the subcontractor for New Leaf appliance warranty company. We have a non-functioning washer that a Sears technician came our to look at, and he ordered several parts and scheduled a date for repair for today, with an 8am to 5pm window. The tech never showed up, and there was no contact information, so I called New Leaf, the appliance warranty company. They contacted the technician, who said it was a two-person job, and he was only one person. He knew this two weeks ago when he scheduled the appointment, it was not a surprise. Then the automatically rescheduled the appointment for March 4, without checking my availability, and I cannot be here on that date. And all of this was done only because I called to find out where the tech was, no one called or emailed or texted to say they couldn't keep the appointment. Finally, after lots of calling, I reached a person who said someone would get back to me within 72 hours to reschedule, but I also let them know I did not want the same technician to return, that he is not welcome in my home. He used the bathroom without first asking, and used a bathroom that is reserved for my elderly mother. Had he asked first, I would have directed him to the guest bathroom. We had to deep clean and disinfect everything after he left, before my mother could use the bathroom again. Horrible, horrible company. I do not recommend. If they happen to be the subcontractor for your extended warranty, you are out of luck. I would complain and write negative reviews for the warranty company and the appliance company, so they will get fed up and find another company to take on their contracts. You do not want to be left dealing with this company. Edit 03/06/2024: do not do business with this company. It's no wonder Sears went bankrupt, given this is how they operate. Save yourself the headache and go to a larger appliance seller who has the resources to stand behind their products. We paid an extra $149 for the service contract, the service visit has been a no-show and/or last-minute cancellation three times now. I followed up with New Leaf, and now, all of a sudden, they're saying that the service agreement requires us to unstack the washer and dryer, even though it was designed that way. I reviewed the service agreement with the New Leaf representative on the telephone, and she could not point to where we are required to unstack the washer/dryer, only that we have to make it accessible. She claims that their policy is not to send two technicians out, but again could not point to that in writing anywhere. When pressed to explain where this policy is written, she said, "it's just the way we do things." It's all a big, big mess.

I have a home warranty, Sears Home Services was selected by them to do the repair to my dishwasher. They ordered the parts, which were supposed to be delivered to my house. Apparently they were delivered to another house on the date they were supposed to be delivered to my house. Couldn't talk to anyone at SHS because everything is automated, no real person to talk to. After explaining everything to the warrenty company, the parts were finally reordered and picked up by the technician and installed, 13 days after I originally placed the claim. SHS was responsible for at least eleven of those days.

Finding out who was responsible for our “extended warranty “ was our first hurdle. Then our service call was rescheduled. The young tech who came said it was his first day. Our issue was our refrigerator ice maker had stopped working. He said that it needed to be “reset”. One day later there has been no indication that the ice maker is working again. We’ll have to begin again. I cannot answer the owners reply as I do not have a Facebook account. Please provide another contact means so I can reschedule.
