My freezer drawer still has to be pried open. There is still a ticking sound. There is still ice build up in the back of the freezer. I paid 100.00 and nothing has changed.

The repair went well and the technician worked quickly but the scheduling was terrible. They made a mistake in their calendar and I had an email confirming they would come on Jan 6th (initial diagnoses of the issue was Jan 3) waited all day for the tech only to find out they put it into the actual scheduler for Jan 16 and I had to go without a working fridge for over 2 weeks due to their mistake. When I called them on the Monday following Jan 6, they told me there were no sooner appointments and I’d have to just wait til the 16th with no other options for getting it fixed sooner.

It does not seem to be easy to contact the department of home service maintenance agreements. It took a month to get the right service I paid for. The final outcome was good but should not take that long. A specific number was listed on agreement but took at least 4-5 attempts to get the right department. Self service can be a great tool for all if set up properly.

Clothes Washer problem was not diagnosed properly during 1st visit whiich required additional parts and a 2 week delay in getting it repaired.

The young man neglected to call or text before arriving. He was very nonchalant and dismissive when asked about it. I requested that in addition to finally repairing the ice maker (which had been broken for a month) if he could look at why the filtered water wasn’t working properly. His response was I had to put it another ticket, pay the deductible again and possibly wait another month for repair. I also asked that he repair the little hatch door that keeps the ice from just falling out since it fell off after the first assessment of the ice maker by Sears, unfortunately it did not get fixed. I had to take the box apart and figure it out myself because the part was left on the counter after he left. Not to mention he left his tools at his previous job 50 plus miles away. Needless to say, in frustrated.

My refrigerator was having issues and when the Technician was there the first day, he opened the freezer side, saw the frost and said I needed a new defroster heater and closed the door. Not even 5 minutes and he was gone. The parts came to my house within 4 days. Called back and they said they couldn’t get to me for two weeks. The appointment date came and the Technician was back. He began to work and after he took the rear cover off, he says, “Um, we have an issue, I need to order another part. It’s not the heater, it’s the wiring harness, it melted. The heater is good. Had to wait another week for the part and when it arrived, I called back. This time they said they couldn’t get out here for another 11 days. I’ve been without a refrigerator/freezer since DECEMBER 23rd. It was assigned to Sears on 12/24/25. It is 2/13/25 now.

I am not sure of the technicians name because they did not give it. He walked into the drive way and said I’m here for the fridge. He left his van running while he did the work. He was here for a total of 31 minutes to complete the work. Once he was complete he let me know that I could throw the boxes and trash from the parts he installed. He left them in the kitchen next to the refrigerator. As he loaded in his van, I double checked to refrigerate to see if it was working and noticed that the “new” part that was installed was clearly a used part. Over all the service was adequate however customer service as a whole from the start of the request in September has been extremely unprofessional from the company.

Nothing at all to do with the technician however the company does not do the work needed and their automated phone system is very user unfriendly when trying to reach a person to speak to.
