This is not due to technican error but Sears’ terrible service management. This is the worst experience I’ve ever had. After the last completed repair by the previous technician on my previous review, the microwave again went faulty starting about a month after the last repair. We promptly reported it to sears who then sent a technician to assess for replacement. The technician reported to Sears that the microwave needs to be replaced. After waiting for the next steps, we called Sears and they told us that a replacement part (fuse) was ordered. There was no confirmation of this order nor did we receive the part. After waiting a month for said part, the microwave again was scheduled for replacement. At this point, Sears stated that a technician needs to be sent to visually inspect the microwave and send pictures to the appropriate department for replacement. Then, they proceeded to keep rescheduling appointments for repair technicians assuming we received a part that we never did. We repeatedly told Sears that we have no record of a part being ordered and certainly didn’t receive a part. Yesterday, we called Sears to report this issue as they’ve repeatedly neglected proper service under warranty. A repair representative told us that a technician needs to be present before 4 pm to make the proper notes/pictures to send to the appropriate department before office closed. The representative assured us that the technician would be receiving proper notice of this action to be taken so that the technician would arrive promptly at my residence to do so. Of course, as expected, the technician called close to 6 pm, after said department closed, and asked the same question, “do you have the part? I will be over in 45 minutes to fix the microwave” I told him that I spoke to Sears repair rep yesterday who advised me that all notes would be sent to the technician so that the tech would be able to follow instructions to timely come. However, the tech told me that he is only responsible for repairs and that Sears did not notify him of the replacement. So, if there are two different sets of technicians with repair or replacement responsibilities, they keep sending the wrong technician and also do not notify the correct one properly. This is mismanagement and poor customer service across the board. They are collecting my warranty and not fixing the issue. I will see if they make this right. They should at least refund me one month of warranty for their complete negligence and mismanagement if they want to continue this. At the very least, I expect a replaced microwave within 2-3 weeks. If this doesn’t happen in a timely period with all the hassle involved, well I would advise any potential customer to steer clear of Sears Warranty. It isn’t worth your time or money with the terrible service management.

The technician neither removed his shoes nor did he have any shoe covers to maintain the cleanliness of my floors. He was unable to fix the problem but instead tried to claim that it was normal for the frigidaire fridge to freeze foods close to the back of the fridge. However, he could not explain why foods in the front of the fridge are also freezing at random. He just couldn't fix the problem and so tried to claim there's was none.

I received an e-mail that said that I had canceled the service call. I didn't do this and took off work to be at home to wait for someone to come. My experience with Sears home warranty has been awful.

2nd tech in 1 month for same issue on dryer He did nothing but started the dryer n opened while running which could damage the unit Stuck his hand in n said it's hot like it should be. This is ur dryer vent n walked outside No parts brought with him, told him we received an email yesterday stating 2 parts were ordered but have not arrived Had my husband sign 2 times and left Now I get an invoice for labor for 140$ for what .. u did nothing!!

My family has enjoyed the comforts of Sears goods and services for several decades in all of our military duty locations. We have recently experienced the extreme opposite of our esteemed expectation of Sears, particularly in warranty repair service to our upright freezer. I wish we could tell you of the great quality of work or zero errors made during the repair, but the technician's scheduled repair times were never met. Needless to say, I had a very frustrating experience with Sears Home Services. After paying for an extended warranty plan, I scheduled a freezer repair, but the technician never showed up to complete the job. To make matters worse, I discovered the technician falsely documented that the work was completed. This has left us with an inoperable freezer (3 months now )and ongoing frustration with loss of groceries and out of pocket expence for a temporary freezer device. I expected better service and resolution, especially given the warranty coverage. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this service based on my experience. Failure to meet deadlines on two separate occasions has left us with a poor taste of expected standards.

I don't understand what's going on. This guy didn't even show up for the service. I even received an invoice saying he completed the job when he didn't show up at all. We were at home waiting for him. No call No show. This is pathetic.

The technician, Jaydep Patel, sent out by my home warranty company to diagnose my refrigerator. He had no idea about the job. He sent a wrong diagnostic report to my home warranty company stating the control board is damaged due to an electrical surge which never happened in my area recently. My claim was declined since most warranty companies don’t accept electrical surge issues. I contacted the technician after I found out my claim was denied. He mentioned that he made a mistake but he won’t be able to change his report. I also ordered the control beard and replaced it but that was not the issue.

I CAN’T AGREE MORE WITH OTHER REVIEWS!! I WILL NEVER BUY ANY APPLIANCE OR WARRANTY FROM THIS COMPANY!! PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THEM!!! BRAND NEW Refrigerator could not function in 1.5 years, got hooked up to a warranty that didn't fix the issue because no part was available and no replacement!!! After making 60 ish calls to the service and warranty dept, nothing was resolved, nor to cancel the warranty because of a pending service request!!!
