I feel like $100 just to come out and tell me that my refrigerator needs to be replaced and you have to wait 15 days before I could have it replaced mean I lost all of my food in my refrigerator and I’m still waiting for a replacement Just never knew it would take this long To get a certificate to replace the refrigerator.

Ricky did a great job, but the repair as a whole was problematic. We had to schedule the repair multiple times b/c it would get scheduled and no one would show. One tech showed on a day we didn’t know there was a appt and before the part arrived. The repair as a whole was disorganized and took a month. We’ve never had this experience with Sears before. I hope it’s not the new normal.

The technicians were ok, they did their jobs. My issue is with the company. The wrong part was ordered to begin with then another tech ordered different parts but supposedly the system dropped the order (I’m not sure I believe that). After a month of waiting on parts that were on backorder, they were installed quickly. We receiving several automated reschedules before our first appointment and then 3 more because of back ordered parts. The worse part was never getting talk to anyone when I called Sears just a AI service that sent me in loops. It took roughly 45 days for my dishwasher to be fixed. Wretched customer service. If it wasn’t for my home warranty I have hired someone else. Again the tech were ok to work with. Avoid at all cost if you want to deal with people.

On the visit, The technician asked my wife the same questions as he asked me over the phone. He already knew our answers. He did no diagnositc work. He did not move the frig. The visit was a sham.

4/22/25 My mother had water collecting in the bottom of her refrigerator. The tech (David B) was there for less than one hour. Here are his notes: "Drain was clogged. Steamed the line out drained and cleared ice. Tested good." Total parts = $0 Total labor = $389.95 (+ tax on labor $32.17) My mother is in her 80s. He should have either charged her something reasonable (like $75) or advised her to get a new (used) 2nd refrigerator instead. I hate to call the Lufkin location out like this, but I have tried many times to contact them directly. All I can ever reach is a very unhelpful AI assistant. It took me months just to track down the tech's info and his notes (because he didn't leave them with her). Needless to say, I do not recommend Sears Appliance Repair of Lufkin.
