The technician was on time and very professional. However, he was NOT able to repair the problem, yet I was charged for a service call. This does not seem very fair and makes me worry about future problems.

I believe that the prices for labor are too high. The Technician made it to my house and took his lunch in front of my house.

inside package had a part that was incomplete and was not sealed in a bag with a stock number had to order a part from an appliance repair man

Tech arrived approx 2 pm. once he determined what part was needed it took all of 15 minutes to install a compressor start device: that part was 73.71+6.08 tax= $79.79. The labor cost was $406.95+37.70 tax = $444.65, for installation of this part which I found to be excessive! I also paid 50.00 each plus tax for coil cleaning on this frig and a second frig in garage; the coil clean cost covered labor. Tech was out the door by 3:30. My total bill was $574.44 and work warranted for 30 days. Next time I need an appliance repaired I WILL NOT call Sears Appliance Repair.

Tech said we would have ice in 24 hours....this was the 4th trip to fix my ice maker and still no ice. UPDATE: Different tech found the problem and said he fixed it. Wait 24 hours for ice. It's now making ice it's just not dispensing ice. We are now at August 8th. This will now be the SIXTH time a tech has tried to repair this. Supposed to be between 1 and 5. It's now 6:25 AND NO TECH! VERY DISAPPOINTING TO SAY THE LEAST. What good is this warranty when you can't or won't repair my icemaker? I WISH I COULD GIVE YOU NEGATIVE STARS! I wish I could ERASE the 4 star rating and give them NEGATIVE STARS! TODAYS UPDATE: 9/27/24 It's now Sept 27th and my icemaker still is NOT dispensing ice. Today now makes 14 trips for 1 issue. Received a text 3 weeks ago that appointment was canceled due to a part not available. Wednesday I get a text that my appointment was canceled AGAIN because of no part. Trying to talk to a human is virtually impossible. Finally got through yesterday and was PROMISED a tech would be by today between 8 and 12. He never showed up. Called again and said he would be by before 5 today. I have my doubts since it 4:30 and no text, no call. When I called yesterday it was verified that NO part was on order. I have every text, email and phone call documented since June 21st. VERY UNHAPPY CUSTOMER! LAST UPDATE....hopefully. Tech showed up after the last two did not. He fixed another broken wire. Why do my wires continue to cause issues? Anyway, it all seems to work....after 15 attempts. 2 stars because the tech finally made the repair. ZERO STARS for the company. I'm hoping the repair lasts for 180 days or I'll be calling them again.

Paid $160. It was supposed to be for 3 appliance maintenance, fridge, range and dishwasher. Tech did not even turn on any of the cooktop burners. Also did not turn on the dishwasher. After staring at his phone for a while I said previous maintenance involved vacuuming the back of the fridge so he did that. He was distracted. He left in a hurry and forgot his drill / screwdriver. I called the service number to report it and he returned later to get it. It’s sad to see the Sears reputation gone downhill.

Not happy, I was chargers $119. 00 plus tax service fee just to come out , needles to say it was raining and the technician “couldn’t “ go outside to check the breaker box. My dryer is still not working and am now waiting on an electrician.

This service call was pretty much a waste of time. The call had to do with two issues with my Electrolux front load washer: The washer is not rinsing my clothes very well - you can see suds when you soak a washcloth after the washer completes. Various cycles lost the range of available water temperatures. For years, my "heavy duty" setting had a hot water option. About 2 months ago, the warmest option was "warm". The same problem is had with a couple of other cycles. The technician didn't know much about the washer and made a series of excuses as to why. Based solely on the information given by the front panel, the technician said that no, hot water is not an option with "heavy duty". His basis for making that statement? Simply that the front panel didn't provide that option. Even when I told him I've used hot water with heavy duty for years, he insisted that warm was the only option. I finally showed him the temperature / cycle options from the Electrolux web page but even then, he said that his information is that hot is not an option. Is was a completely ridiculous conversation. As for the rinsing issue, all he would tell me that the amount of water on the wash cycle was correct. I told him that the wash cycle isn't the issue but rather the rinse cycle. He then said that he had no way of determining if the washer delivered the correct water amount for the rinse cycle. He said the diagnostic tools he had only enabled him to measure water in the wash cycle. Again, ridiculous service. After telling me that "everything is working correctly", he then offered to order a series of parts "if I wanted to". He couldn't tell me that any of the parts ordered would solve the problem but he was happy to order them. Obviously, I declined. While he was getting ready to leave, he made a few amazing comments. - Electrolux washers can only be expected to last a couple of years. - Sears is not an authorized service provider for Frigidaire products (Frigidaire owns Electrolux). - Even though Sears sells Electrolux, they should never be bought. - Frigidaire isn't forthcoming with support information to Sears. - He finally admitted that even though he earlier said that hot water is not an option with the heavy duty cycle, he really didn't know one way or the other. Thankfully, your technician didn't charge me the minimum trip charge, which is good because I wouldn't have paid it. After the Sears "technician" left, I called Frigidaire and made an appointment to have someone actually diagnose the problems with my washer. As a result of this visit, I have lost almost all confidence in Sears' service technicians. I'll be happy to discuss this situation further if doing so will help illuminate the issues you're having with your technical staff.

Though technician seems to be knowledgeable, but his behavior was not good, he seems to be very rude to me,

Excellent Service.
