Have had good dependable service in the past but not with our last visit. First visit said we needed a new belt. When new belt arrived called in for repairmen to come install it which they did. Washed a load of clothes later that evening and washing machine sounded worse that it did before the 1st guy came. Called back and 3rd repairmen was sent only to inform us that a belt never would have fixed the problem and that the current repairs were in excess of $900 and that we should probably be refunded for the belt :-(. Called to make this request and was told I'd get an email about the refund request however all I have received is this customer service survey. Currently I am on the phone right now waiting on someone to update me on the requested refund. Not a good experience with Sears this time! Customer rep just told me there is no record about my initial request and she is processing it now as I type. Hmmm...

Although the service man diagnosed the problem he did not properly replace the gasket. He took the old one off and installed the new one without properly preparing the gasket beforehand. After installation he said do not open the freezer for 24 hours...unfortunately the gasket did not adhere in places and air was escaping. We had to call Sears back and someone came out two days later. When they opened the freezer door there was ice everywhere. They fixed it as it should have been fix. Those repair man will get a much higher rating . They knew what they were doing!

10/5/16 I have used sears for years with success, but this time was horrible. Fridge very hot. Repair man said that fan blade fell off in back. Put it back on and didn't want to wait for the fridge to start up again, so he collected his money and left. Fridge is still very hot on the outside to the touch. Called back that evening, but best they could do it schedule another apt in two weeks. Expressed that the Fridge is very hot and fire hazard. They said sorry, maybe I could just unplug it while I wait. 10/12/16 Different repairman returned while complaining the entire time that the other repairman did not charge enough money, and when a repairman doesn't charge enough money then everyone looses. He was mad that he had to come back. Also, said the fan blade fell off. He tried to glue it on to no avail. He said he could order the blade for me, and I agreed to put it on myself. Gave him the payment for blade and got receipt. Have not heard anymore or seen the fan blade. That was the 12th of Oct. Today is 19th Oct.

Repair of Kelvinator Elite Dishwasher, ( one year old) First I have a 5 years contract with Sears on this dishwasher. A- I have a technicien coming close to 3 hours late from schedule time ( 3.00 to 5.00 pm) coming at 7:30 pm. This technicien changed after diagnostic the fan, this did not fixe the machine, after more diagnostic , He ordered the control board . B- Received the Control Board via mail one week later C- Next day a new technicien Scheduled (8.00 to 12:00) came at 1:30 pm. Changed the control board, did not fix the problem , the original problem was the lower arm blocked and problem in the drain, fixed by the second technicien without additional parts.. D- It means faulty diagnostic from the first technicien. Sears needs to train better the technicien on diagnostic. E- If not on contract I will be charged $ 539.00 to change good fan and good control board. I think Sears need to keep better the Schedule of repair and train better their Technicien on diagnostic.

Horrible. Freezer went out before Thanksgiving. I've spent HOURS on phone. First guy diagnosed problem and had to wait 2 weeks for parts. Second guy came to install parts but said it only needed a new thermostst. Order and wait. First tech returned said ok maybe he's right so installed it. Next morning alarm goes off again..not thermostat so requested return of first tech. Waited extra time to get him only to have another kid show up. Sent him away called scheduler. First one hung up on me when I expressed my disoleasure. Then spent forever w Philippines kept on hold when I asked for suoervisir. Ended telling me I had to wait another week but while they requested him couldn't guarantee I'd get him. Got a hold of first tech only to find out he doesn't even work my area on day they scheduled. Nothing he can do about it as his hands tied. Disgusted at lack of customer service and complete waste of time and money on needless parts

Repairman showed up, didn't pull out a single tool, glanced at the appliance and told me it would cost $597 to fix. Had to pay him $79 service charge for his clairvoyance. What a ripoff. Thought Sears and maytag were supposed to be the honest ones....

Tech did not call before he came. He couldn't see the problem, so he did absolutely nothing. Problem still exists. This is the third tech that has come to our house to repair our freezer.
