no Stars. we needed a light replaced under the hood. The tech came out without any bulbs and had to order it. We had informed service department 2 weeks prior to having the service done and they could not come prepared.

Over the past 3 months we have had 8 technicians in our home to fix a broken ice maker. They have replaced every part and are now replacing the replaced parts to try and not replace the refrig. So I have over $1000 of parts in my refrig and it still doesn't work. 😳

I'll never buy a Sears appliance again bc of this experience. My dishwasher was not fixed and I was charged more than I was originally quoted. I paid the bill to get the guy out of my house. Bad move Sears. You lost a customer.

This is by far the worst repair company we’ve ever used. Our washer went out and the quote from Samsung was nearly $600, so we decided to go with Sears, what with their decades of being one of the leading tool sellers and DIY stores, figuring it would be more reasonable. What a terrible mistake, the first visit the technician concluded it was the clutch motor. We ordered the part and had them replace it, no dice. That same technician then said it was the main control board. So we ordered that. A new technician installs the control board, manages to get it going ā€œpast the point of the last failureā€. He calls it good, I assume he knows what he’s talking about....not 20 minutes after he leaves the washer goes out. I immediately call Sears to tell them it’s not working again, they tell me they’ll tell the technician to come back. No-show. At this point we’re nearing $500 with no resolution in sight. We throw in the towel and buy a new washer that same day. I call Sears and tell them that I want my money back since they essentially did absolutely nothing. I tell them the new washer comes in two days and they have until then to come get their parts or they’re being hauled off with the washer. They didn’t come. I repeatedly call and tell them I want a refund since they have a 90 day guarantee and they’re work didn’t fix the issue and forced us to go buy a new washer because we had already gone over 2 weeks without one. They apparently file the paperwork, ā€œyou’ll hear back in 24-48 hoursā€. Crickets..... Well after 48 hours we finally get an email saying they couldn’t contact us.....yes, they contacted us and told us they couldn’t contact us....let that one sink in..... So we call them back, they try to give us the run around saying the parts were installed so they couldn’t give us a refund. Unfortunately for them, the first technician removed the original replacement clutch motor and did not charge us since it didn’t fix the issue. So at least that one guy had some integrity. I tell them that I’m not paying for anything, I’m not paying for the labor of a technician who didn’t know what they were doing, I could’ve had my 4 year old work on it for an hour with the exact same result, at the low low price of 3 skittles. I tell them I’m not paying for their parts since they obviously weren’t the issue. Then I proceed to tell them that they will most definitely be hearing from the BBB and consumer protection agency, and possibly our lawyer. Luckily we removed the parts in question from the washer before having it hauled off. My wife talks to another rep and they agree to issue a refund for the parts if we can send them back. But no refund for the labor. We take the deal. However, I’m still filing complaints seeing as how I had to take off work 3 separate days for them to come out and do nothing. I will be seeking repayment of the labor charges and reimbursement for my time off work. ā€œWill I be recommending Sears for home repairs to my friends and family?ā€, they ask. I almost laughed, but I was too angry, so I simply told them no, I won’t, because I’m completely UNsatisfied with their work. Using a more colorful way to express my thoughts. ā€œWe understand and hope you keep Sears in mind for any future repairs you may needā€......which serves as proof that they don’t care, or understand at all about their customers. Not only will I be avoiding their services, I’ll be avoiding their stores. I won’t even buy one pair of socks from Sears again.

Repair call 07/07/2017 for Freezer and Icemaker Not working. Service shows up on 07/11/2017 - Freezer fan is out- says part will be delivered to home that Friday and will fix Monday. Monday morning, I took off work and around 9:30am I decided to attempt to see what time to expect the service person - the service man set the date to 07/24/17 not 07/17/17. Took me 2 hrs to chat with Sears Home Services - no help at all - Sears wouldn't even have a Supervisor talk to me. They rescheduled for 07/20/17 between 8am and Noon. At 10am I contacted scheduling to identify when the Repairman would arrive - I was told they were on their way. At 11am I contacted the Sears Scheduling and was told they are 10 minutes away. At 11:40am, I was told they should have been there and came back and said they will arrive between 12:15pm - 12:30pm. At 12:40pm, I contacted Sears again and was told they would arrive at 1:15pm - 1:30pm. I told them at 11am, I was told they were 10 minutes away, how did this happen. I was told emergency call. At 1:40 the Sears repairman arrived, he didn't know why he was even sent to my home. I gave him the fan replacement part, he put it in but I guess he didn't check if the ice make would work. Well my wife called Sears because the icemaker wasn't making ice - yep - another service call for 07/28/17. The Service man open the door pushed the button, the tray turned over and filled with water. Now I have to make another Sears repair request for the icemaker - the water froze that the repair man set to fill but the damn tray will not dump the ice in the storage bin. I already told Sears before, I thought my icemaker was fried. Now I have to have the 4th visit. This is going to take 1 month plus to fix. My refrigerator is under warranty. I don't think the "New" Sears appreciates customers like 20 - 30 years ago. I would give them a negative 10 right know.

This is the fifth time a repair technician has been to try and repair the same issue with my year old refrigerator and the problem is still not fixed. Sears representative keep telling the technician this is a repairable issue and the technician keep making notes that their is nothing else they can do. I have a full coverage warranty and they still not doing nothing about me issue. I am a very Disappointed customer.

Had an appointment form 8 to noon. Tech was a no show called at 12:20 and was told he was on the way. called back at 2:30 pm and was told the tech removed me from his route. They said they could give me an appointment the next week. I will never buy or get service from sear ever again.

The one star reflects my opinion of Sears Customer Service Administration, not the people who actually come do the work. We are in a warranty dispute, and no-one at Sears seems serious about making me happy any other way then sending nice people out to look and report back - again, and again. We have the $300 extended warranty which says "Relax You're in safe hands" - not my experience at all. They have sent FOUR different people out; just replacing the fridge would have been cheaper! I'm sorry for the employees forced to run around while Sears tries to deflect me and hope I'll give up -I won't. - UPDATE - I give up. I have had months of Sears saying one thing on the phone then the opposite from the repair people. DO NOT BUY FROM THESE PEOPLE UNLESS YOU KNOW YOU JUST DON'T CARE.
