The one star reflects my opinion of Sears Customer Service Administration, not the people who actually come do the work. We are in a warranty dispute, and no-one at Sears seems serious about making me happy any other way then sending nice people out to look and report back - again, and again. We have the $300 extended warranty which says "Relax You're in safe hands" - not my experience at all. They have sent FOUR different people out; just replacing the fridge would have been cheaper! I'm sorry for the employees forced to run around while Sears tries to deflect me and hope I'll give up -I won't. - UPDATE - I give up. I have had months of Sears saying one thing on the phone then the opposite from the repair people. DO NOT BUY FROM THESE PEOPLE UNLESS YOU KNOW YOU JUST DON'T CARE.

I have had the most incredibly frustrating negative experience with Sears. I bought a Master Protection Agreement for my refrigerator and also a Whole Home Warranty for the rest of my appliances on June 6th. (I had to buy the Master Protection Agreement for my refrigerator since it was not working at the time. The Whole Home Warranty (WHM) is only an option for working appliances.) Anyway, Sears came out and tried to fix the refrigerator under the Master Protection Agreement (MPA) the first time on June 16th. When the repair didn't work, I called Sears back and they messed up by listing the repair under the Whole Home Warranty- instead of the Master Protection Plan as they should have. This turned out to be a BIG, BIG deal. Since the repair was listed under a different warranty for the second repair it started this crazy bookkeeping problem with two of my repairs being listed under the MPA and two under the WHW, making it impossible for me to file a claim. I have spent COUNTLESS HOURS taking with various departments and supervisors and not able to make ANY progress in correcting the records to show all the repairs under the Master Protection Agreement. Why would that matter? Because at this point, Sears has been to my house on 8 different occasions (4 visits to diagnose the problem and 4 to replace parts). After four repairs I qualify for a new refrigerator, BUT because the repairs have been listed under two different warranties they are telling me that I don't qualify for a replacement. I HAVE BEEN WITHOUT A WORKING REFRIGERATOR IN MY HOUSE FOR THREE AND A HALF MONTHS -WITH NO END IN SIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This has taken so long to resolve that I was forced to purchase another refrigerator and put it in my garage- so yes, I have to walk out there every time I need anything from the refrigerator. Another reason that it is nearly impossible to resolve anything with Sears Customer Service is that because when you contact them you are routed through call center you are never able to talk to the same person twice, making it necessary for the customer to spend ridiculous amounts of time explaining and re-explaining the problem over, and over, and over. I have talked with Sears Customer Service more time than i can count, sometimes up to two or more hours at a time and been told at the end of the call that they had corrected their files (to show that the repairs were all under the same warranty) only to find out the next time I called that this was not the case. UNBELIEVABLY FRUSTRATING!!! To be fair, I have used Sears Appliance Repair for the past 20 years or so and been quite happy, but I wouldn't wish this situation on anyone. There is something hugely broken within the Sears customer service network that makes it impossible to get anything resolved.

Tech arrived on time, but as soon as he got set up he started trying to sell me a warranty product. I told him he was here to install a part to my ice maker which I had received in the mail. He then asked me if I knew where the part went. I said no, it was his job to repair the ice maker. He then said if he had to work on the ice maker he might break something else in the process. At that point I realized he had no intention or did not know how to replace the part that Sears had sent me. I asked him to leave. What a waste of time.

So far, good enough. I have had 6 or 7 service calls on this same issue. Never before have I EVER had so much trouble getting one problem taken care of. I will wait and see if this time happens to be the one that has actually repaired the problem. I am exhausted with all of this! We are senior citizens and have already lost one freezer full of food, which we lost money on.

Their service is really bad. The technicians never inform to Sears what's the exact problem. I've really tough time dealing Sears Warranty Service. They are neither replacing or repairing my washer. Still fighting with them to fix my washer issue.
