I don’t think it was the tech’s fault as much as it was Sears’. There are so many liability policies and restrictions in place that it limits what the technician can actually do. When you have to sign release forms just for them to slide out an ice maker, it shows how excessive the regulations are. It feels like the technician is more worried about violating a policy than simply doing the job. So I hope these stars don’t affect the tech it’s for sears.

Didn’t show up and said repair was done . This is the 4th time that my repair appointment was rescheduled. I have 4 parts sitting waiting to be put on my washer!

Beware: Deceptive Practices and Potential Fraud I strongly urge others to avoid using Sears Home Services. My experience has been nothing short of a nightmare and, frankly, borders on fraudulent business practices. In March, I paid nearly $600 for a stove repair. I was told a replacement part was being ordered and the technician would return within a week. Instead, my appointment was repeatedly cancelled due to supposed backorders & delays. After six weeks, an aftermarket part—ordered by Sears, from Amazon—was shipped to my home. When the technician arrived, he confirmed the part was incorrect and incompatible. He advised that the original manufacturer part was unavailable, said he would take the part with him & have it returned to Amazon, and promised me a full refund would be issued. That refund never came. Since then, I’ve been stuck in an endless loop between a useless AI system (“Samantha”) that can’t assist with refunds and directs you to the website, and a website that refers you back to the phone line. I filed a dispute through my bank which was recently denied after Sears falsely claimed the part was delivered and service was rendered. After days of persistence, I reached a live agent who confirmed their records showed the part was returned and no repair completed. He agreed the refund should have been processed over a month prior and said the issue would be escalated. I was told to expect an email confirmation within two days. That never came. I followed up again today and was told to “be patient”—despite having waited nearly three months already. I asked for a supervisor, was placed on hold for 15 minutes, then disconnected. When I tried to call back, the system looped me back to the AI assistant, which again directed me to the website before hanging up. This is not just poor customer service—it’s unethical. Sears Home Services took my money, failed to deliver the service, and has made it virtually impossible to speak with a human or get resolution. These tactics are consistent with deceptive trade practices and even constitutes as consumer fraud under state law. Please don’t make the same mistake I did. Avoid this company at all costs.

First place you never can speak to a person. They scheduled a time to come to my house. I have a very sick Wife. My oven went out. It came to my house made me pay for the parts and labor which was close to $1500 and set up an appointment to come back.I had to arrange for someone to move the stove to be repaired. They never showed up for the appointment time. There’s no way to get in touch with anyone. When you call all you get is a continued automated message. This is the worst system I’ve ever dealt with. Whatever you do do not use their service.

Service tech was very nice, but he did not Service our unit. He didn't take panel off inside unit to check for any service issues. He wasn't here 10 minutes. There is no way he service our A/C unit. Very disappointed, and will consider other options when time to renew.

Nothing to rate, they never showed up to service the AC. Appointment was from 7am-6pm which I think is a little much. I had an app link which said between 12-2, but I got a call while I was on a call at 9am. Called it back minutes later and they never answered. Called back again after an hour and no answer. Techs name was Kyle. Unfortunately have to use them through my home warranty or otherwise never would.

Christopher was a "no-show", who indicated on the repair invoice that we declined service. We had a window period of 8-5 (very inconvenient), I confirmed the appointment several times electronically leading up to day of and my Husband was at our home waiting. Christopher left a voice mail while I was in a meeting saying he had another appointment in the area and would head to our home between 1-2. The next thing I received in my email was an invoice indicating job closed with a notation "customer declined service". He never stepped foot on our property. I called the number back that he'd left a message from a couple hours earlier and left a voicemail for him, he never bothered returning my call. Evidently, he felt like wrapping his day up early that day.
