Technician was fine, experienced and on time. He ordered the necessary replacement part… and it never arrived (3 tries). 4 stars is about right, assuming my refrigerator works and does not develop problems any time soon.

Terrible experience and would never use Sears repair again. Communications awful. Way over priced. Hostile is how we view Sears repair now. We called to ask Sears to come and replace the broken glass on our oven door. We gave them the model number. We were told the tech would come that day and bring the new glass and install it that day. We asked for an estimate but we were told the tech would give us that after he came to look at the oven. They pushed to get our credit card and pushed multiple maintenance plans. We declined and said we don’t pay for work until it’s done. We had two other companies quote estimates for the job in the $400 range, but they would need to order the glass and it would take 3-4 days. When the Sears tech came he told us it would cost about $700! Now we knew why they didn’t want to give us their estimate over the phone! We said No Way. He said fine, but you owe $139 for the diagnostic service call. He also said he would need to order the glass and it would take three days to get here. We said that’s crazy to charge for two minutes it took for him to say what we already knew: the glass is broken on the oven door and needs to be replaced. He had the model number, so coming to the property was not necessary. The two other companies said all they needed was the model number and they could order the glass and then install it when it came in. No need to come out and look at it beforehand. So Sears lied to us with our initial call saying as long as we gave the them the model number for the oven (which we did) their tech could bring the new glass that same day and install it that day. The second strike against Sears was their price—almost double two competitors in the area we got estimates from. The third strike was being adamant about charging $139 diagnostic service call that was not necessary and arrogantly telling us they will turn it over to collections. We felt like Sears had a scam going on at worse or it was a customer shake down at best. We agreed to the Sears tech coming to our property only because they told us the tech would bring the new glass and install it that same day — not two visits and not three days apart. We refuse to surrender to the Sears Shake Down!! Will be reporting their bad business practices to the Better Business Bureau.
Carl T,
He was ok but I have a discount of 30.00 dollar discount and he charged me the full price. The lady said 99.00 dollars and I got the text for 149.00. I think this is a trip off. Now we got to to buy a new washer for the price you say. I only need to paid 99 00 dollar not 149.00 Want call you all again.

I know they are busy with air condition problems, but I wish they would have taken the time to fix my unit. My problem is just as important as anyone else's.
