Repairman was very knowledgable, effective and courteous. However, the repair (set by Sears) was excessively expensive.

The jury is still out. Thomas was the life saver. I wondered if I would cancel but Thomas the tech was so knowledgeable and smart I will wait. They rescheduled my tech 4 times, I just got noticed nothing that I controlled. The first tech ordered the wrong parts and said they couldn’t fix the refrigerator. The customer service people (2) said the tech has the right parts with him. Neither was true. Everyone but Thomas needs training!!!!!
Customer service response - We apologize for the rescheduling and parts issues, Charlene. We're glad Thomas provided knowledgeable service, and we appreciate your feedback to help us improve our team training.

Recently had a repair guy come out to work on a dishwasher that was stopping mid-cycle. It was a high-end Kenmore Elite that we inherited when we purchased this home earlier this year (DW is less than 5 years old). He ended up disassembling the front door, checking drains, etc…… Ran a test cycle and it did exactly the same thing. Couldn’t get it to work properly. Said it was likely the control panel - which could be replaced for ~$700 (about the cost of a new machine)! I was totally bummed. And it cost $150 for (as they say in the military) “no joy.” So we handwashed dishes for just the two of us for the next two weeks. Then I decided to Google some possible fixes online. The first thing I found was a very simple sequence of buttons on the control panel to be pushed in a specific order and time interval. I tried this once……and the dishwasher completely reset. Just like rebooting a computer. I subsequently ran a cycle and it completed uneventfully. I have since used it at least a dozen times and it is working exactly as it should. As I said earlier, happy to have it working as it should. But disappointed that I paid $150 for what could have been a very easy self-service fix.
Customer service response - We apologize for the frustration, Peter. We're glad you found a solution, and we appreciate your feedback on the service. Please contact us directly if you need further assistance.

Overall, not thrilled with our first appointment, but the problem was fixed. Our scheduled repair appointment turned into a no call/no show. When our reschedule was made, the estimated arrival time was between 8am-5pm (that's all day). At least break it down to a 8-12 or 1-5 timeframe. Needless to say we received a notification 37 minutes prior to arrival via e-mail.
Customer service response - We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused by the no call/no show and the broad appointment window. Thank you for highlighting this aspect, and we're relieved to hear your issue was eventually resolved.
