Time of arrival was not same as what was told on message. I felt he wanted to get done sooner than later. He did what was asked but I was dissatisfied with this service man.

The overall experience was frustrating! Let me start by saying that both the technicians that came to the house were very good. The problem was in the repeated rescheduling of the actual repair by Sears. The first technician came and evaluated the problem with my stove and said he had to order a part. He was supposed to return about a week later to install the part. That appointment got rescheduled as did the next appointment. Then I got an email from Sears rescheduling me yet again. At that point I called the home warranty company and complained. Sears finally did honor the latest appointment, but if I had not complained, I would have been put off again. We're all busy people and we often have to make special arrangements when service people come to our homes. I know too, that sometimes things need to be rescheduled, but not three times. Sears needs to be more conscientious about the appointments they make.
Chuck A,
He couldn't find cause for the water that flooded the floor and the basement
Marion T,
Not great to be honest. LG range repair. First guy misdiagnosed and installed a part that did not fix the problem. The second guy took a stab at it and also misdiagnosed. Hired an independent local guy next and he diagnosed the problem in 5 minutes and corrected the problem right away. And unlike Sears that guy had parts on hand bs waiting days for the part to arrive. The independent guys rates were 1/2 of Sears. Ultimately Sears did refund me for the parts. But I was out the original diagnostic fee which was MORE than the repair + part of the independent guy. Lesson learned.

The dishwasher had the pump replaced and it works fine BUT, the technician did a horrible job of reinstalling the unit. It isn’t level at all, the drawers slide back into the unit unaided. Also there is a 3/4” gap between the left side and right side of the dishwasher being flush with the counter. Not good work at all. Additionally, there is no way to directly complain about the poor quality of the installation either online or by phone. The website is endless loops and bots, and the 1800 number is all automated. Really think hard about this when you consider purchasing a warranty from Sears. NB I scheduled at tech to come back out to correct the problem. After waiting all day from 7-5:00pm, no one showed up. Caveat emptor…..,

Bill D,
Horrible, horrible company. We've been trying since June 8th to have someone look at our dishwasher (for an issue supposedly repaired 9 months ago). HSA contracts with Sears for repairs. Major mistake. Sears has pulled 2 no-shows when I was actually able to make an appointment. Now Sears AI states that no appointments are available. So they're telling me that no appointments exist between now and the end of time? Ok. Run away from HSA and Sears as quickly as you can.

Said evaporator fan needed to be replaced without taking anything apart and looking at it. After he left I attempted to access the fan myself and figured out that there was nothing wrong with the fan, the sensor on the freezer door was just not catching and kicking the fan on when the door was closed.

I scheduled an appointment with sears home appliance thinking I was going to get quick and great service. I basically paid them $129 to do nothing. I am moderately handy, researched the sounds and symptoms of the washing machine prior to it throwing an 5E error code. Everything said the pump was going bad. The technician did not listen to the symptoms we were experiencing. All he did was run the load with someone on the phone. Told my wife it was the connection to the drain (not standard to code), took our money and ran in less than 30 minutes. Did not attempt more than one load (which is when it would not work). I disconnected the connection to the drain, put it into the stationary tube. Same problem. Imagine that. I decided to order a new pump for $40 on Amazon and watched a YouTube video on how to replace it. It took only 5 screws one, one hose clamp disconnect, and 30 minutes to replace. Do not use this company. Find someone else or do it yourself if you can.

The technician was abrupt and unhelpful throughout the entire experience. Before the actual service call, he to get more information and complain about having to drive an hour to my house. After I described the issue, he immediately stated that the repair costs would likely exceed the price of buying a new washing machine. When I asked if it was even worth him coming out, since he had made it clear he did not want to make the drive and believed the repair would be too expensive, he said he could not know for certain without seeing the machine in person. Once at my home, despite standing right next to my husband, the technician called me at work to discuss the repairs. There was no reason to interrupt me at work when my husband was available and literally standing next to him. Without saying anything at all to my husband he just called me at work. During the call, he again stated that the repair costs would be higher than replacing the washer, so we decided not to proceed with the repair. However, according to my husband, the technician never actually inspected the machine to determine the problem. He simply unplugged the washer, plugged it back in, turned it on, and then quoted us more than $900 in repairs. We also had clothing trapped inside the washer, and he didn't even give my husband any suggestions or offer to help remove the wet laundry that had been stuck in my washer for 3 days before leaving. Overall, the visit was a complete waste of money and extremely disappointing.
