I feel a full explanation of what I would have to pay versus what Sears representatives told me what I would pay needs to be clearer!
RaMona D,
2 stars for the fast scheduling and response. I was able to schedule a technician to come out same day to replace the belt on my dryer. Tech calls around 3pm saying he is 1.5 hours away and you could tell he was trying to get out of driving to El Reno. I said it was fine though because my son stayed home that day so someone would be there. He asked me what was wrong so I told him the belt snapped and when we tried replacing it we couldn't get it to work which is why we were hiring someone to do it. He then tells me that he doesn't have a belt for my dryer with him, that it will be $400 or more to replace the belt, and it was probably better to just go buy a new dryer. 😒 I canceled the appointment, contacted an appliance parts store and ordered a replacement belt for $35, watched a few videos on YouTube, and my Husband and I fixed it ourselves. You could tell the guy didn't want to come out and he wasted our time. Won't be calling again.

James seemed to do a good job when he finally showed up. However, it was 3 weeks from the time he came and diagnosed the problem until he came back to fix it. He told me the parts arrived in about a week. I can’t understand why he took two weeks after the parts arrived to come fix it. I texted him twice to ask about repairs and he did not respond. Also, Sears scheduled 5 appointments during this time and I waited all day because they didn’t call to cancel… just no show.

The service repairman was great, however, there is no communication between Sears, their techs or the customer. No showed on us for two days before finally arriving. Troy was a great repairman, but Sears Repair has zero ability to contact them especially when it is a home warranty repair.

Our family has been completely disappointed in the lack of services and I mean the 4 different times different repair gentlemen came into our home to "fix" our dryer. I would have liked to give Victor a 5 but unfortunately for him he is a part of your team and the only one that was competent in assisting with the dryer. How is there no communication between your team members? Every time a new repair man came out to the house over the 30 day period when we were driving back and forth to the laundromat to keep our clothes clean because no one knew what they were doing or even what the previous person had done or tried to do. Each repair man would ask my husband what was going on?? My husband had to take off work after the 2nd repair man left and had done nothing so he could be present to tell the next repair man what the one before him had said. This is completely unprofessional and a poor example for your company named A&E repair but saying you are Sears repair. I hope no one else has to go through a messy and unprofessional situation like this with your company. Please train your repair men they do not know what they are doing. cc: Social Media

I am only giving this company 1 star because they did in fact show up on time for the same day appointment we scheduled on April 24th. The technician came out, looked over the appliance, and stated he ordered the part my refrigerator required to make it cold again. I had to wait another week for the part to come in and the technician to come back out to install it. The original technician and a new technician arrived on April 30th to install the part as scheduled. They took apart the inside of my freezer to install the part they ordered, only to find out the original employee who came out guessed the part because he couldn't locate my model number. Obviously that meant the part he ordered would not fix the issue. While they were taking apart my freezer the new technician had to continuously advise the original technician to remove all of the screws before pulling on the panels. The original technician seemed to forget how to reassemble the freezer in my refrigerator and the new technician had to step in to do his job for him. I did provide the owners manual for the fridge to help them locate the model number but the original technician did not bother looking at it. It stated in the manual where to find the model number in the fridge. The original technician then called his manager and they ultimately decided to issue a partial refund (they should have also refunded the service fee also but they did not). My faith in them fixing my refrigerator began to dissipate quickly as I listened to them discuss my refrigerator while they attempted to repair it. After they left I wiped the inside of my freezer out and noticed my ice maker was no longer making ice and water was running down the inside of my freezer. I had a new repair company come out today to look into the repairs. The new company found that the original repair guys punctured the water line going to my ice maker. The new company also ran diagnostic testing on the control panel to determine the issue of my refrigerator not staying cold; Sears did not run diagnostics on the control panel. Now I have to find 2 parts to fix my refrigerator instead of one. Avoid the headache and skip calling Sears.
