You all need to work on your scheduling. Scheduled for a Wednesday 8-12pm. Received automated message on Tuesday for earlier option for Tuesday 1-5pm. I accepted. 3:30pm, got call from technician that they cannot make it. Tells me the original time on Wednesday is not available anymore. Earliest next time is Thursday. Listen, I get they are busy…I work too and trying to accommodate their schedule requires me to move my work schedule around. Seemed like the technician was upset with me. I have zero control over how this is all communicated. I need a repair, you tell me when you can come. I adjust my life to be there. So, I canceled the repair and went with someone else.

I’m giving Sears Appliance Repair a two star review only for the fact that they did come out the day after I placed the call. Our technician was very friendly, and I had told him that our washer wasn’t draining or spinning and that I’d heard a loud noise during the spin cycle when it initially happened. The only thing he did to assess the issue was exactly what I’d already done, which was to try to run a spin and rinse cycle. He then determined it must be the pump, but stated that if we wanted it fixed we would need to move our washer out to our garage ourselves in order for them to repair it. It would be $100 for the part and $300 for labor, yet we would need to move it from our laundry room to our garage?! My husband ended up finding and fixing the issue himself, and while it was ultimately the pump, our technician did not even attempt to take anything apart to determine the exact problem- which ended up being a small toy that got lodged into the pump. After this experience, I did not feel confident that our washer would be fixed correctly by this company.

My experience with Sears Home Services was extremely disappointing from start to finish. First, it was difficult just to get an appointment scheduled. When the technician, Iljir Z., came to replace the heating element in my dryer, he damaged the dryer's display during the repair. To Sears' credit, they agreed to replace the display since their technician broke it. However, they refused to schedule the repair until both the replacement display and heating element were available. This process took approximately six weeks. I could not go without a working dryer for that long, so I hired another repair company to replace the heating element. That company charged only $250, half of Sears' $500 charge. Trying to contact Sears was equally frustrating. It was nearly impossible to reach a live person, and customer service was unresponsive throughout the process. When the technician finally returned to repair the display, he had damaged, I asked to speak with the supervisor he was talking to on the phone. The supervisor refused to speak with me, stating that he did not have time. This is not the Sears many of us remember from years ago. Between poor communication, excessive delays, higher pricing, and lack of accountability, I cannot recommend Sears Home Services. I would strongly encourage others to consider alternative repair companies.

Terrible experience yesterday and today: I used the website to get a quote for a repair. It had me enter my zipcode and address. I never made an appointment, I never confirmed ANYTHING. Today at work, somebody just went to my house. My wife was home. We were not expecting service. They guy is saying there is a $130 fee. I went online to look at my "order". They didn't have the right phone number or email address...because I never gave it to them. I tried calling, AI chat. I tried using the chat on the website...no place to talk to a real person. Awful awful awful feeling not being able to talk to a real person. I need an oven repaired, too! I would have loved this to have had a better outcome. But I am furiously trying to make sure we aren't charged, and can't talk to a single real person (I have been trying since 12:15 and it is 12:48.) UPDATE: A real person called me at the end of the day asking about how "our service visit" was. I said, we didn't receive service, because we didn't request service, and I spent a very long time trying to talk to a real person (this was 4 hours later). I mentioned the AI system both over the phone and on the website leaving absolutely no room for nuance when issues like this arrive and she said "welcome to 2027". She was generally sympathetic, taking great care not to apologize, and while this was a very frustrating experience, there is a pretty high likelihood we will still have to call them and schedule a visit, as no other places in the area work on our product. I would LOVE to tell a person what is wrong with our oven and the product number, so they don't come out just to say they can't fix it and charge us $130.

My LG dishwasher is not even seven months old. They have replaced it twice. Sears came out to try to fix issue “ It’s not draining so therefore it’s throwing a it’s not draining so therefore it is throwing an error code”. Repair Man did nothing still broke not draining. I would also like to add the fact that the appointment can’t be narrowed down to a 3 or 4 our window THE NIGHT BEFORE …….!!!!!! Is completely ridiculous, and unacceptable. I mean in this day and age with computers don’t you people make a schedule?

Could not speak to anyone on the phone. Had I been able to talk to someone it likely would have avoided a worthless service call at $129 to find out that they couldn't help. Also, provided information to their AI system which apparently wasn't sent on to the technician. And I expected that they would send someone who had some experience working on this manufacturer's cooktop (Bosch) since they collected the manufacturer name and model number during the online scheduling process.
