Elbert came to my home and was rude, disrespectful and condescending. I addressed this with him and he didn't apologize, he continued to be rude. He needs additional training on customer service and respectful communication with customers. I'm only giving 1 star because I can't post without clicking at least 1 star, but I would not give Elbert 1 star. I had no problem with the previous technician that came in June to fix my A/C unit.

First technician dint listen when i said it needed more than one part, i paid and they ordered the one. Dint fix the issue, so part was taken off and supposedly a refund was issued for the part and labor minus the visit fee, still waiting on refund status its been a week cant get ahold of no real person. Bout to file a complaint with bbb and talk to my bank. Repairs cost more than washer cost so i just got a new one but still waiting on my money back. All this could have been avoided if first technician listened to me and dint talk to me like i was stupid.

Is there a rating lower than one star? Because this deserves negative stars. We’ve been without A/C for nearly a month, and this company hasn’t done a single thing… unless you count lying, ghosting, and wasting our time as “service.” We opened a warranty claim and waited 10 days just to get our first appointment on June 10th. They claimed they came, knocked, and no one answered. Funny, because we were home, ready, and watching… and no one ever pulled into our driveway. No knock. No truck. No one. Just a complete fabrication. They rescheduled us for June 20th, another 10-day wait in a house that’s been sitting at over 80 degrees inside, but sure, we’ll just sweat it out and hope. This morning, their little tracking system claimed the tech would arrive by 9:57 a.m. When it was 11:00 a.m. and still nothing, I called. After jumping through hoops to reach an actual human, I was assured someone would arrive by 5:00 p.m. Instead? At 12:55 p.m., they sent us a survey asking us to rate the amazing job they never did. You truly cannot make this stuff up. And now? The company is refusing to help unless we open a brand new warranty ticket like the last 25–30 days of no-shows and fiction-writing never even happened. If you get assigned this company through your home warranty, run. Or better yet, fix it yourself with duct tape and a YouTube video; you’ll get further than waiting for a technician who only exists in fantasy.

What a disaster. First, it's almost impossible to get a real person. All AI/chat.. Told AI my appointment had to be after 11am. Guy calls at 8 to say he's enroute 30 min to find issue then 1.5-2 hours on phone looking for part number. I'd think if you're going to advertise you service certain makes/models, the techs would have resources to find part numbers . Got told 7 days. 2 weeks and still waiting. Told the part is backordered, but i find it on 9 different part sites. Still waiting on someone to contact me after being told I'd be contacted as far back as last week. Going forward, I'll replace appliances before I contact sears. As per the reply, I called the number. Prompts galore. No prompts that were targeted towards what I'm looking for. So. Back to square 1, but now MORE aggravated. Also still waiting for a call back that was scheduled Monday (it's Wednesday now) About to just go buy a new washer. By now it's more economical. Yup.... never again. Update: after waiting 3 weeks and three promises for someone to call me which never happened, I canceled the entire work order and requested a refund for the part and for the follow-up labor. Tired of empty promises that someone would call me. Tired of getting queue card responses to tell me to call an 800 number which nobody picks up the phone as it is strictly AI voice recording which will get you nowhere and tired of using the chat feature where they can't tell you what day it even is. They kept telling me that the 6-in tube was on backorder with no estimated time of delivery even though I found it on six different suppliers websites (i clud7ng amazin). After all the runarounds I finally ordered the piece off one of the suppliers' websites and it is being delivered tomorrow morning. 3-day turnaround, yet they can't get it within 3 weeks?????? If anybody reads these replies and actually takes into consideration what people are leaving behind, I would put more emphasis on the negatives than the positives. I will never ever have these people back out to service anything under my roof.

The first technician that came to check my non working dryer said it was s part that needed replacing. It was ordered and the second technician that came put in the newly ordered replacement said it was the vent that needed cleaning. He verified that now dryer worked but after he left and after doing a load of wash it would not heat again. I have had the vents cleaned but dryer still not working and all this was paid for in advance. Someone needs to come out asap and fix this problem.

This was absolutely the worst experience I have ever had with service company. The charge of $300.00 for less than 15 minutes of work was not told to me when first service technician said he did not have part for my dryer but needed $517.00 to order part. Was told by office technician that refund would be credited for service call and time for installation overage. Part was ordered through Amazon and sent to my home. Was not told to confirm delivery back to company and appt was still listed as pending waiting upon part delivery. Part was replaced within 15 minutes and NO CREDIT given towards $517.00. Promise to NEVER do business with Sears Home Services again and will encourage all known friends, neighbors , church members and customers to not patronize Sears Home services in future. It’s just that 300 dollars is wrong for less than 15 minutes of work.

The technician was good. He solved the problem but your customer service is horrendous! I couldn’t get a person on the phone and my appointment was as between 8 & 12. The tech didn’t get here until3! Nobody called. This is totally unacceptable and I think Sears Home Services is terrible. I will never use you again!!!
