The service man is 5 star. The part from sears direct that was sent to home is $30.22(Amazon $23). The total bill was $517 . There was a diagnostic call of $99. 30 minutes from arrival to departure. Part was ordered by repairman. Then service required a second visit Thermostat kit in freezer And defrost freezer . That was 75 minutes arrival to departure . So one hour 45 minutes in the home total. That means the labor was approximately $449 for 1 hour 45 minute. $38 tax $30 Frigidaire thermostat part. $518 Tom authorized to his credit card. Charge for labor excessive. No itemized bill was ever emailed to us. I could see $300 labor for one serviceman for 2 trips to home . $449 is excessive. Will not use them again. The repairman was great

I told him of the my technician that didn't pull a vacuum when replacing the compressor as he finished the job the last guy wasnt able to finish and he said that it wasn't the proper way to do it but it should be fine. I asked him if he would pull a proper vacuum and he said he wouldn't as it was working. That sounds fine until it fails early and I have to pay for service again. This is upsetting. This was all part of the original service call and I would like someone to contact me. Don't let them tell you that a "pump down" is just as good as pulling a proper vacuum when replacing a compressor! He did replace the fan that was an issue and did a nice job on that portion but my concerns of moisture in the system from not running a vacuum first were ignored again.

The appointment scheduler is antiquated all day until 3:00 It kept saying that the appointment was 8:00 am and 5:00 p.m. only after I got the phone call that the technician was on his way was it updated of the arrival time! If the tech is going to be there in the morning, put an a.m. if you're going to be in there this the afternoon, let us know that you won't be there till the afternoon at 0900.

The issue didn't resolved and up of it we didn't get our refund, it's very hard to reach customer care till now we didn't get any response for our refund and still we are waiting on that.

They blew me off not once, but twice. I sat here today with an appointment time from 8am to 12pm, had to call off of work to make sure someone was here, for the second time because no one showed up or called 3 days ago as well, just to be let down again. They advertise that you can track your technician and will be contacted throughout the day, but the only "person" to reach out so far has been bots telling me there are unforseen scheduling errors hours after the scheduled service windows are over. I won't be calling them again. -James Stanton

I've been waiting since 1pm I have a four hour window up until 5pm It was stated that I would receive two text one before and the second one to update me with no text whatsoever is pretty bad so I I go back and check my original email which takes me to their website I see that the driver is not due until between 5:41-6:12 no text nothing whatsoever, I personally do not appreciate unprofessional businesses customer service is really big in my book and to delay me without a text or a call is bad customer service and unprofessional my time is just as valuable as yours I'm done. I have not received the service and do not want it now.

I found this service to be inept and predatory. We paid a $129 diagnostic fee to have a tech press a button on our dishwasher and say there was nothing wrong with it, despite my careful description of the issues we'd been observing. When those issues continued to be a problem I tried calling Sears Home Service but there was no way to speak to a human representative, only an AI bot, which assured me that we would not have to pay another diagnostic fee for the technician to come back out since it was for the same issue. However, when that same technician did come back out and confirm that my dishwasher was indeed broken (it was determined that repairs would cost more than the unit itself and thus they recommended just buying a new dishwasher, despite it only being 1 year old) he said I still owed the $129 diagnostic fee again. When I disputed that, he said he didn't know how to override that in his payment system. When I asked to speak to management, he said he did not know how to put me in contact other than to have me click 'refuse to pay' in his system and wait for Sears to contact me directly. This company clearly has inconsistent policies, questionable technicians, and provides no meaningful customer service or paths for recourse. Book at your own risk.

The repairman and the repair were fine. The time it was scheduled was a problem. I was told he would be there in the morning between 8:00 to 12:00. He didn’t come until 3:00. I was not kept updated on the time like the text said I would be. I was very frustrated. My time was not important to them. The AI scheduling is a pain. Sometimes you just need to talk to a human.

The tech was very professional and friendly but pricing is way off. 135 for diagnostic plus an additional 450 for parts and labor for a 17 dollar part and half hour repair is insane. Felt completely ripped off after since now I'm out a washing machine and 135 dollars. I regret going with Sears.
