Carl was very polite however the next day my dryer would not work again continued to cut off. Had the fix really worked the service would have been good but otherwise it was a waste of money

Eric the tech showed up on time and was friendly and polite. He determined that the problem was the compressor and presented my options. His company iPhone kept telling him that there was a compressor on his truck but there was not. He said that he located a compressor locally and I should pay for it now and he would pick it up prior to installing it. I gave him a check for the amount which he then scanned into his iPhone. There was a problem as the phone would not scan the check. Next he said that I should pay for the labor and miscellaneous other parts and that I could pay for the compressor on the day of installation. I wrote him another check which the phone would not scan. His frustration was high now and he said he was just going to leave so I should pay him the service fee. I gave him a third check which did not scan into his phone. He walked out and the refrigerator is still not fixed. During his visit Eric sat on the floor to steady his arms because he was having trouble reading the phone screen. When my wife asked him for his ID he went to his truck and came back with his it. I asked him to send me a bill for the service call. He left.

I had Sears come out through my American Home Shield (AHS) warranty to look at my washing machine, and the experience was extremely disappointing. The technician showed up already looking for a reason to deny the claim. He insisted that “someone else worked on the machine” simply because a few screws were loosened — which I had done myself while trying to see what was wrong before placing the service request. He used that as an excuse to deny the entire claim to AHS, even though my warranty covers pre-existing issues. It felt like the goal wasn’t to diagnose or fix anything, but to avoid doing the repair altogether.

So, I again was scheduled for the repairs to my refrigerator for today between 8 AM and Noon. I just got a call from the service tech stating that he did not have the parts and asked me if I did. Needless to say, my frustration of not getting this refrigerator fixed after waiting over a month and four cancelled appointments boiled over. I have already spoken to my bank about this situation and a claim has been filed with their fraud department. I will be speaking to the sheriff's department about this also. And just a fair warning to everyone. None of these so-called service sites exist. The one in Liverpool is a liquor store. The one in Mattydale is a Dunn Tire store. The service tech even admitted to me that none of these sites that you Google even exist. Everything is done remotely using AI. And when you work tirelessly to speak to a human, you get just the automated system. When I started to do an end around by pressing other options, I finally got an answering service, which is in Southeast Asia. I would advise everyone to stay away from this repair service.

I'm trying to leave a review that is less than one star and I'm not able to. I scheduled two different refrigerator repair appointments, only to receive a text at noon each day that says, "Due to unforeseen circumstances we will not be able to have a technician available today to service your appliance." Absolutely the worst experience in my life with trying to get appliance service. What a dumpster fire of an organization. Shouldn't be in business. I'll be contacting the BBB also. Full disclosure...I've researched everywhere in an effort to speak or communicate with anyone at Sears Home Services in person. They've made it impossible. Just a horrible way to do business.

The wrong replacement part was sent. I was told I’d have to find my part on EBay. This is not what I’d call “as solid as Sears!” I find it odd that the appliance parts store here in Syracuse can order the correct board, but Kenmore can’t sent the right part. The technician was very nice, but not much he could do with the wrong board. So I’m out $129 for a week of waiting for nothing!! I’m not impressed at all.
