Very over priced. The delay in getting the part was also costly, seeing as how it was a fridge. Unfortunately, we didn't price the part before paying and were intimidated by the "labor" costs. It took your tech 15 minutes to install a $40 part and we paid $400 in addition to losing that in spoiled food. Tony was a nuke in the navy and, while he did save his back working on the floor, he could have done the repair himself.

I was charged $299 for labor. The technician didn't even take half an hour to change the dryer belt. There was a $50 cleaning fee, but I don't know as that was done. If so, it would have been a 10 minute cleaning. I was glad they had the part needed for the dryer on their van.

Trying to contact this company and get your issue resolved is like looking at a future hellscape. The AI agent thing is ridiculous, y'all fire 400+ people and then make us jump through these stupid hoops. Worst part, they didn't even fix my oven. Have to get them to come back, and I'm stuck talking to a computer. Hellish. Can't find any of my information because she's a computer. And you're gonna reply saying this isn't your desired experience or whatever, and I'm pretty sure whoever replies is a computer too. If not, why not ANSWER THE PHONES instead of forcing people to deal with a damn computer. It's dystopian. Bet the owner is a big trump guy.

This company forces you to schedule with AI, and if that doesn't work they send you to India. I've been on the phone for 15 minutes without an appointment because they won't just hire someone to answer the phone. Ridiculous and dystopian.

Extremely frustrating and expensive experience. You have to make an appointment with an AI agent and there is no way to reach a human to talk about problems. The AI agent tried to tell me the wrong visit date and none of the links they sent to track the technician worked. The technician was nice and professional, but they don't charge you by the hour, they use some predefined repair code. So the tech was there for 20 minutes, realized some part was just loose and there wasn't really anything to fix once it was back in place. But then the bill was $400!! And of course, there is no one to complain to about that either.

I tried to have a GE microwave fixed. Over two months, I had five appointments with two technicians. They were not fully sure of the problem, and eventually settled on the power board and relay board. Once installed, the microwave boards blew out and the fuse in my home was also blown. They ordered two new boards. For the last appointment, no one showed up. I tried to call Sears Home services, but only got an AI agent who said that my appointment was in the past. So, five times I had to take off work and we still have no idea what the problem is. The technicians did not have the knowledge to fix the problem. And for Sears, bc they now only use AI agents, there is no way for me to contact anyone to discuss the appointments, the problems, or even to send back the new parts that are at my home. Any question I asked sent me to a phone number to the AI scheduling agent. Many replies to these negative reviews say to call a number. But that number goes to an AI agent for scheduling! There is no way to talk to a real person to resolve any issue. I suspect the replies here are also from an AI agent. I paid $750 and have nothing to show for it, and no know to talk to about it. I have placed a hold on the credit card charge, but that was a month ago so I assume it was paid and it will be clawed back. If I could give a negative rating I would. Please, PLEASE, do not use Sears Home Services. They are not competent enough to solve harder problems, and if things go sideways (which they tend to with repairs), you will lose money and not have your appliance fixed. Just stay away.

Sears home service repair has been contracted to fix my ventless dryer since August 2024. It is now January and I’ve had I think six or seven appointments with this company to repair this dryer. They have shown up successfully once and the replacement part was malfunction so that wasn’t their fault and they did get another one to my house. ***Note that the service tech left my dryer and at least 10 pieces. When the service tech was supposed to come to my house in the beginning of January, this tech did not communicate that they were on their way until they were in my driveway. Had not expected this and thought I had a good 15 minutes to get home. I got there as fast as I could but the tech had already so they missed me and left and refused to come back. Sears that offered me another appointment. Yet again there’s no communication from the tech, no phone call or text message as they promise. The tracking system shows my check should’ve been here at 9:09 this morning. It is now currently 11:19. And as you can imagine folks there is no contact. I’ve already called the number and Was told that they would get back to me with an update. Do yourselves a favor do not buy the extended warranty through Lowe’s because they use Sears home services for repairs. And doesn’t seem too worried about customer service.

Wow. It was alarming how unhelpful having them come out was. Seems like a money grab. Guy was here for 5 min and told me he could not help me on my oven that is like 5 years old. Charged me 150 for 5 min. Not sure what they actually help with.
