Hired Sears to do a deep clean of washer and dryer at new house we just moved into... I cannot for the life of me figure out what the technician did while he was here for a couple of hours.. this is what it looked like after he left and told me everything was cleaned. **UPDATE: spoke to customer service and they said they do not guarantee the technician's quality of work and I would have to pay the fee again to have them come back.

I'd give a zero instead of 1 star if I could. Sears has been no call no show for several months for servicing our refrigerator. The confirmed via automated system that they were coming yestersay and that the parts that were sent for diagnostics were received. Waited at home all day only for them to cancel via text and reschedule for another month out. They schedule and do not show up. They were contracted with American Home Warranty who set this up, which is an equal nightmare.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ for your service technician, who was just great—5 STARS for HIM ONLY! The fact that I WAS NOT called in advance to tell me that I had to disassemble the stacked washer/dryer units made for stressful last minute accommodations. NOT HIS FAULT…but your entire customer service experience dealing with phone calls just SUCKS!👎The fact that it is virtually impossible to speak to a human when calling your 800 number to discuss service calls is absurd. Clearly customer satisfaction is NOT a priority with your company. So frustrated with THAT aspect of this experience. Again, the service technician was great. Add an option to speak to a human when someone calls…dealing with AI voices is beyond maddening. :-(

1 hour of labor- no parts $380.00. Enough said. Can not get ahold of a human with any capacity for discussing overcharging claim. Phone system is misleading. I wish they would contact me as the operator said they would.

Our experience with the technician Javar was excellent. The rest of our Sears Home service experience I would rate as poor and frustrating. It took 3 service calls to complete this 2024 repair. The first scheduled service 5/2024 the tech did not have the parts needed to complete the job, even though we specifically described the problem in our service request. Being that this is the third time we have submitted the same repair request in the past 4 years, we new what the problem was. The lights are continually failing on this Whirlpool model. The next time an appointment was scheduled in 6/7/24, but because the technician did not know the parts were delivered to our address, the appointment was never confirmed and we waited around for another entire day for a technician who did not show up. We spoke to customer service when no-one showed, and requested a smaller time window for our next service. Making your customers wait around from 8:00 a.m to 5:00 pm is unreasonable. After speaking to customer service we were told that our next appointment would be before noon on 6/13/24. Javar arrived at 11:40 am. He called prior to his arrival to let us know he was on his way. He completed the repair in a reasonable amount of time. It would be helpful if when scheduling appointments customers would be given a morning or afternoon time frame instead of a 9 hour time frame! It is very helpful to get a text or call from the tech narrowing down his/her arrival time. In the future, when purchasing an appliance through Lowes Home Improvement, we will most likely opt out of purchasing a Sears extended warranty.

Basically a scam, there aren’t really any available service providers in the area. I waited for 10+ hours during my “appointment time” and no one ever showed. I was then told that someone would call, and no one ever did. You are talking to a call center in India or the Philippines, and they read scripts. The call menu will send you loops and prevent you from speaking to anyone. Huge huge huge waste of life, and valuable time

If I could give negative stars I would. Scheduled my appointment a week in advance appointment was confirmed this morning 2 hours later they call to inform me that my appointment has been canceled. I lost time and money from work and I still don’t have a working washer. Very disappointed with the lack of professionalism and customer service.

Appointment was scheduled through GE/Crosley. It was supposed to be warranty work, as the dishwasher was purchased new in August and the discharge pump failed. The technician said that the appointment was scheduled not as warranty work but as a regular service call. He refused to perform the repair under warrant and refused to leave the property until we paid him $100 for the diagnostics. It is unprofessional to make the consumer pay for the inefficient and inaccurate communications between the manufacturer and their contracted service provider for a problem stemming from a material defect in the product. Update: Despite not removing or disassembling the dishwater during his “diagnostics,” the technician said that the discharge pump was broken and needed to be replaced for a little over $400. Today, we hired a different repair service, and he promptly came out on the same day. He removed the dishwasher from under the countertop and did a thorough inspection. He quickly diagnosed the problem: a pumpkin seed that got past the filter and clogged the discharge tube. The discharge pump was not broken. He simply pulled the seed from the tube and now the dishwasher works like new! He didn’t even charge us for the visit! So to recap, A&E Factory Service (via Sears) charged us $100 for looking into the dishwasher and seeing that the water was not discharging (the reason for the call). Then, without removing the dishwasher from under the counter and doing any inspection of the dishwasher mechanism, diagnosed the discharge pump as broken and said that we needed a replacement for $400+. When we said it was scheduled by Crosley as warranty work, he said that Crosley scheduled it as a regular service call and we would need to pay him $100 for the diagnosis or he wouldn’t leave. We refused the repairs but paid the diagnosis fee, for an incorrect diagnosis that was made without any investigation. Finally, a competent repair company actually investigated the problem and solved it quickly without charging us anything!
