I'd give zero stars if I could. had warranty repair scheduled, they moved it up to an earlier date, canceled that appointment and then tried to reschedule me for 3 weeks later. Not acceptable. Had to deal with call center people who were no help whatsoever. They should have accommodated me to the next appointment within a few days.

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM IN ALBANY, NY. 1. They cancelled my appointment twice. You will never be able to speak with a person. Everything is done over text. Absolutely no way to run a business. This is why Sears is going out of business.

Sears Home Advantage plan is a complete SCAM!! Signed up for this service in May 2024 when our 2 year old GE Adora dishwasher broke. We have had 2 technicians come and both times they ordered the wrong parts and never fixed it. Have scheduled 3 more appointments since then, gave us an 8-5 show window and all 3 times no call and no show!!! Called their call center only to be told they can’t give us the technicians number or the shop they report from. 6 months and no dishwasher. The laughable part today is they said they can reschedule us in a month from today!!! We pay $70 a month for this service and it’s a complete SCAM!! Reporting them to the Attorney General’s office in NYS. There should be an option for zero stars!! They don’t deserve 1!!!!!😡😡😡😡

I was scheduled for a morning appointment between 8 and noon to repair a range. I had a text and email confirmation. No one showed up. No call, no text. Nothing. With additional calling I find out that this was outsourced to A&E Factory Services. The A&E associate informed me that although I received a confirmation, they never assigned the work to a tech and I was give a new appointment date 25 days later. I said that this was unacceptable but the associate was totally unapologetic and basically told me that was it, take it or leave it. Just be aware that Sears outsources some or most of their work and if it goes to A&E, good luck. I gave it one star but if I could, it would be zero stars. After the no-show I reported above the second appointment was postponed by a text message to me. No call, no reason, nothing. Just a new date. Christmas eve day! But I accepted it anyway by text reply with a "1". I received multiple requests to confirm with a "1" and did so each time, over and over. But guess what? I was waiting on Christmas Eve but at arpounf 3 PM was again texted a postponement and a new date of 1-22-25. So I have been attempting repairs since October and still no one has even looked at it. I have all the texts and emails dating back to October to back my story.

Sears Home Services is outsourcing their technician and customer service. The customer service is terrible and their going to ask you to pay $75 a month for terrible technicians and service. The technician doesnt showed up and never calls you. You will have to end up making another schedule inconvenient your time. I recommend to use better service with a better price. Customer service is very viable

My attempt to get a washer repaired was a disaster. It appeared to start wonderfully, the washer timer would not advance. It filled with water, agitated, then stopped. Manually advancing the timer did not work. A week later I waited all day for the repairman to return to execute the repair.i could see the entrance where I sat. Anyone approaching would have seen . We’d talked in the morning and he knew the garage door was open to give him quick access to the washer. Finally I found the note in my junk mail with the cutesy little comment “sorry we missed you” with a picture of the repairman at the front door of a house- not mine. It was 2 doors down at house that looked very different than mine. The notice said I could reschedule “below” . But nowhere on the webpage was a “below” no mechanism to reschedule, no hyperlink, phone number, nothing that responded to the message for rescheduling. Calls, chats, everything I tried ended in a dead end. The next day I was finally able to reschedule. On that day the repairman insisted he was the right house. The doorbell never rang, there was no call or text. And have they heard of GPS? No effort to try to make contact with the homeowner. Even presented the picture with him at a front door very different then my he still insisted he was at the right house. Then the repair, 2 hrs later and the washer now sounded like a freight train. He attributed that to the quality of the parts (not a good sign). To add to the misery, the original problem remained! So now the timer needed to be replaced, another $200+ part with labor on top of that. So, why wasn’t the timer the first part checked? When they tell you to buy a new washer rather then repair, believe them! Sears wants to sell you their home warranty ant the sales pitch is pervasive and overwhelming. But the caveats, extra charges make it more expensive. Their business is repairs, and they’ll try to repair the unreepairable to make money. And they’ll claim you were a no show if they arbitrarily want a shorter work day. .

Sears was contracted for me to use. They set me up some random appointment 6/8 I tried to call someone to reschedule I wasn’t able to speak to someone so I rescheduled on the website to 6/21st. They still sent me an text on the 8th that they would come so I take off work because I didn’t want to miss them and I couldn’t reach a human voice to ask what was going on, no one ever showed. Then the 21st on my actual rescheduled day same thing. Text message confirmation for 8-12pm waited no one showed. Tried to call and could not reach anyone. Could only reschedule again on the site. 6/29 my 2nd rescheduled appointment, did not have a phone this time as my phone fell in the toilet and stopped working but I stayed home to wait for them. They alleged they came and knocked. Knocked? There’s a doorbell! Why didn’t you ring that? I would have at least heard that. I thought I was being alert and looking out the window but who knows when they would show in a 4 hour span. So now i didn’t get my furnace looked at and around this timeframe I have to find another company with availability. A waste of time practically a whole month. Highly disappointing. You guys need actual people to speak to because there is a communication gap there.
