Sears home service has many flaws to their automated system. The 1st tech came as planned and installed a “refurbished “ control panel on my GE washer that did not work correctly causing clothes to wash 3 times with a locked lid so you couldn’t access them as well as only half filling tub. It tool 3 additional appts since there was “ no tech” available even though these appts were verified. On the 4th rescheduled appt for 8-12 I was notified at 0705 that the time was changed to 1-5 that same day. At 0830 the tech did arrive, installed the new control panel which is now working properly. Throughout this whole aggravating experience, that lasted 4 weeks, it was apparent that there is lack of communication between the AI scheduler and the techs. I even asked to be forwarded to a real live person and the AI said”we don’t have real people here”! That is a Huge problem. I would not recommend Sears home service for these reasons plus a labor charge of $372.

The reason for just 2 stars is that he recommended getting a lint box that should NEVER be used for a gas dryer. So right now I have no resolution to the issue with the dryer.

I wasn’t happy with the outcome. I paid $400. for parts, recommended by the service tech. Rescheduled, told the tech not to come before a certain time/day. He came anyway, I was not available (ring camera), I had to reschedule. The part he ordered did not fix the problem, at that point he said the machine was done. Not only did he leave the new part that was ordered in the machine but left my laundry room a mess. Carpet was pushed back and water was all over the floor. I’m still waiting for the $400. refund.

A&E services are not what they used to be. The tech did a great job diagnosing and repairing the refrigerator. the company shipped us a part from Amazon that cost $28.77vand charged us $279 for it. An unusual markup in my opinion. Part Wasn’t even OEM. They also canceled our appointment without completing the project. Luckily, I scheduled a new appointment and the same tech converted the new appointment to fix & finish the job. Customer service appears to be overseas somewhere. Would not recommend or use again

The service man was very nice. All he did was run the washer, look underneath and say the washer was in very good condition. He wasn't there 10 minutes!!!! Not much of a service call!!!! When I scheduled the service, I was informed that my APPOINTMENT WOULD BE AT 9AM!!!!! THERE WAS NO MEMTION IN MY NOTES OF BETWEEN 9 AND 10!!! HE SHOWED UP AT AFTER 10:30AM!!!! He had made 2 stops before me. IF YOU SCHEDULE A DR. APPOINTMENT FOR 9AM. YOU BETTER BE THERE FOR 9AM!!!! WHAT HAPPENED TO BEING ON TIME. Even the last mention on arrival time was 10:02 NOT AFTER 10:30. I had an 11:00 appointment I had to cancel!!! Again, what happened to being on time!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It was fairly easy to schedule an appt. Tech came out, assessed the problem w/our oven & ordered a part & told is he could help us with another minor issue when he retruned. The tech was very nice & helpful that day. Here's where the problem begins. The part didn't come in time for when the original tech scheduled to return. It actually took weeks to get the part w/NO communication from the company of what was going on & it was EXTREMELY EXTREMELY (yes I put it 2x on purpose) difficult to get to an actual person to inquire about it. When we finally got the part, it was auto scheduled. I attempted to reach out to the original tech to try to confirm if he would be the 1 returning so he could complete the work he told us he would BUT he was not very responsive AT ALL. On the day of our appt. we found out we had a new tech. The 2nd tech that came to our home was very impersonable & stand-offish. He didn't even give his name. We had questions about the differences between what our original tech told us regarding the service he could provide when he returned as well as the cost & his only answer was "I don't know about that." He didn't even try to find the answer or figure anything else out for us. Ultimately the oven's fixed, but it was a long & frustrating process.

The wrong part was delivered. The technician wanted to install it and then have me call tomorrow to get another service appointment so that the correct part wiuld be sent without an additional charge. Why couldnt he just return the part and order a correct part? His answer was unclear. I will be waiting for a full refund. This was the worst experience i’ve ever had with sears repair.
