We have had nothing but problems. The repairman barely even looked at our oven . When we looked at the price for the part it was less than $100 but yet we ended up being charged $757 most of all of it was labor charges . The appointment was rescheduled 3 times in a four week period, without any contact or reasoning. When I called, the only option was to speak to an AI agent not a real person. Finally the day of the last appointment when we were told we were the next stop at 7:00 a.m. we did not receive until almost 10:00 a.m. and the repairman asked if we had the part. We had been told the holdup was because the part was on back order and the part was to be sent to you. Why would we have the part. We have had nothing but trouble trying to get our oven fixed with what we have been told is a common issue. If it's so common why is it so hard to get fixed? I have requested a refund

Nancy B,
I scheduled the 2nd of 2 A/C repairs through our home warranty and again they sent Alex with Sears. This time there was a second man with him. On this visit I reminded Alex that all he did last time was replace the thermostat. I have since replaced the filters and the batteries in the new thermostat and the A/C still is not blowing cool air or anything. On Thursday last week when making the service request there was no ice present, yesterday when they came out there was ice present. Alex did nothing but berate me about how the filters must have been extremely dirty and thats how the unit outside became iced up. I said no I changed the filters more than two weeks ago and again they had a little dirt on them but not bad and I still replaced them anyway. Alex then asked me to show him the dirty filters in order to prove to him they were not that dirty and I again said it was more than two weeks ago and they have since been taken with the trash I don't keep them. Then Alex insisted I was using to thick of filters and thats what caused the system to freeze up, Ibsaid by all means please feel free to take the ones that are in there out and see for yourself how thick they are. Alex did nothing but shine his phones flash light on the outside of the filter vent and say look its been tucked up into the ventilation tube, I said no I use a double sided tape to help me keep them up there when I replace them turn off the units and see it won't come down. Alex never did go into the attic or do anything beside berate and accuse of of breaking the A/C. He told me to keep the down stairs unit off for 34 to 36 hours, then turn it on if it doesn't blow cold air or if it freezes again to reopen another ticket and he left and closed out the work order. I then called Goettl who sent a tech over within an hour and 30 mins (far less time than I waited for Alex to show up) and he checked the entire system top to bottom, showed me pictures of how badly the system had wear and tear, including but not limed to the leak in the freon system, the faulty wiring and some burnt circuiting. The system even back in April is probably what caused the thermostat to fail and has been needing to be replaced. So we have been paying hundreds of dollars in deductibles for Alex to come over and do very little for his pay and then to belittle and berate me in front of a trainee while neglecting to do his job duties that he is paid for. This is extremely unacceptable not just from the employee but that Sears allows this kind of employee to continue to work for them. And you can't tell me that no one has complained about his behavior and his lack of responsibility in the past. The first time he was here he tried to get me to hire him to replace my A/C for $500 on the weekend when he was off. Don't know what $500 was going to get me but I do know it wasn't going to be a working A/C unit thats for sure.

Technician Did Not Perform Proper Inspection or Provide Resolution I am writing to file a formal complaint regarding the recent HVAC service visit for my home. A technician was dispatched to inspect the upstairs air conditioning unit, which has been struggling to maintain a consistent temperature. He got here 4 hours late in the end of the day and unfortunately, the technician did not perform a proper diagnostic inspection. (AGAIN) second time he was here after complaint that AC still not working well. He spent only a few minutes at the property, did not test airflow, did not check for duct issues, and left without offering any meaningful solution or explanation for the problem. He start the conversation saying that my house is Old and this is the problem. (Completely RUDE) This level of service is unacceptable. No measurements, no attic inspection, no ductwork evaluation—nothing that would help identify or resolve the problem was done. I am extremely frustrated by the lack of effort and accountability.

There is no Sears Appliance Repair at the 7370 Dean Martin, Suite 401 location. It is a different business that has been at that location for 3 years. This needs to be removed from Google. Sears Appliance customers are being sent on a wild goose chase.

I’m very disappointed this is the 2nd time I have had to call for my washer to get it fixed. On both visits they keep ordering the same part that does not need to be fixed. It’s a different issue and I am still waiting to hear back for the part. This issues has been going on since October 2023. Very disappointing how long it takes for service to be provided and how long it takes for parts to be approved.

As per phone call, this is a within 90 days recall service as the technician didn't fix the washer machine today, but there is a $139 charge. I was told on the phone couple of times no charge, what happened with this $139 charge?
