Nightmare service.,never buy their's plan, it took 3 weeks to fix the refrigerator ,two weeks they made the appointment that technician will come, i waited 8am to 5pm and around 5 pm they massage me that technician is not coming. This is unacceptable and there is no one to talk, to talk with person you have to press option to file a new claim and then you will be able to speak someone.

Interacting with Sears Appliance Repair has become a nightmare because there's no way to talk to a real person when you have a question or claim not included on their automated menus. So when the technician told me that the part needed for the repair was going to be shipped to my house and the part appeared as "delivered" on their website, I was trying to contact them to find out if they got the part or if I should reschedule the appointment, there was no way to find out. Not only they overcharge you for the part (they charged $ 98 for a dryer belt drive that costs $ 36.75 at GE, but they also charge you $300 for a job that was completed in 17 minutes. I wasn't home when the technician arrived, so my wife interacted with him. When I came home later, I found out that the light inside the dryer wasn't working, so I text messaged the technician who just told me that if the dryer was working, the light wasn't a problem. I don't think that this poor service is acceptable. Update: I got a reply from Sears offering to solve the problem, but they only gave me the same website and phone number that doesn't allow talking to a person. How can I explain that is not a new order but a claim from a previous order? Update #2: These guys are just incredible. The same technician that didn't assume responsibility for the quality of his work just called and asked me if I was aware of the cost of the repair. I told him that his company was asking for a chance to do a better job and he insisted that the current problem wasn't related to the previous repair. I decided to cancel the appointment since I can't request that they send a different technician. Unless I get a phone call for a real person, I won't schedule another appointment.

Waited for 4 hours They just didnt show up I tried to call 8 times It is nearly impossible to get someone on the phone I finally got through to someone who confirmed the appointment They just didnt show up after giving a 4 hour window I took a day off of work to be home

The "assessment" was completed in 10 minutes and the technician did not even open the machine. He just gave a reason, based on the noise. After he left, there has been a smell in my basement. Make sure they provide a proper assessment before paying.

I have a home warranty contract. Who uses sears appliance repair in Paramus. My dishwasher stopped drying loads first week of August. I have since had 4 technicians come already and replace 3 parts on different visits. I've been with my appliance for over two months. I'm waiting for the 5th technician today as we speak. Their technicians are not technical. Meaning they are not troubleshooting the actual issue. Rather they are guessing on which part to replace. They have replaced the board, the water pump and something involving the soap dispenser. I'm not a appliance technician. However I knew none of those repairs would fix the issue. None of those part have anything to do with the heating element. None the less. If you have to pay for their service. I suggest you go elsewhere. They have technicians who are poorly trained, not trained or incompetent.
