The technician was great, repaired everything as promised. The company's service, however, was absolutely terrible. They would send me texts asking me to "press 1" to confirm. How on a text? Fail. cancelled 3 different appointments without telling me, 3 days wasted. Fail. Took an extra week to get them back out to finally fix. Fail. The tech = A+ / Sears = F

The technician was knowledgeable and thorough. However, a thermal fuse is a throwaway fail-safe part that is a very common repair/replacement. Not having one on a repair truck and having to wait a week for a replacement to be ordered seems excessive. Additionally, my expected repair time was constantly updated each morning from 7-8, then 8-9, then 9-10, etc. in the end I waited 6 hours more than the anticipated arrival times indicated and lost 8 hours of pay.
Customer service response - Thank you for your feedback, Brian. We're glad to hear the technician was knowledgeable, but we apologize for the inconvenience with the part availability and scheduling delays. Your comments are important to us, and we'll work on improving these aspects.

Just wanted to update my review as after Sears asked me to send an email and I sent over the details a person named Yvette in executive member support reached out. She apologized for the error and within a couple of hours had everything fully resolved, ensuring that both additional errant bills were stopped and contacting me every step of the way. Nothing is ever perfect but it's how people and organizations handle the issue when there is an error and in this case Yvette from Sears Home Services not only resolved, but did so in a seamless, efficient and friendly manner. Thank you!! ----------------------------- BEWARE! They will bill you multiple times for the same service!! Had a technician come out to repair a in unit microwave. $249 Diagnosis fee supposed to go towards repair costs. Technician did the diagnosis but could not find the magnetron and limiter parts through Sears parts so said if I could get them from the manufacturer they’d come back to do the repair and the diagnostic fee would cover the cost. Technician came back a week and a half later after I got the parts to do the repair — again confirming the diagnosis fee covers and no additional charges. Then I received a bill in the mail for a second $249 charge even though that fee was already paid. Two days after the repair, the microwave started smoking. Had the technician come back and examine per the supposed 30 day Sears workmanship warranty. He discovered he didn’t do the magnetron install quite correctly and the wire was touching a nearby part causing it to arc. Now there’s a 3rd $249 charge being billed for that visit. Called Sears and the customer service agent had no idea what they were doing indicating the charges are because the three visits were not related. While the technician was helpful stay away as they’ll fraudulently bill you.
Customer service response - We're really sorry to hear about your experience, Marc. This isn’t the service we aim to provide. Please send us an email at BRS3@transformco.com with your information so we can help resolve this for you. Thanks for giving us a chance to make it right.
