I don’t see how they can call this a service department. It must be run by children. I called and made an appointment to have a repair done telling them exactly what I needed sending them the model numbers, which is only a gasket for the freezer section of my refrigerator Now after taking two days off work because they canceled at 3 pm the first day A repair man calls asking me what the problem is with my refrigerator says he is 30 minutes out, but he has no gaskets on his truck and will have to charge $119 for a diagnostic visit then have to return with the part and install it, which was originally supposed to be $330 out the door i’m already out $300 from missing two days of work now and by the time they would do this repair it would be nearly $400 on top of that. This is ridiculous. I’ve never had such bad service from any company. stay away from these folks if at all possible. And now I can’t even get a live person on the phone to explain my situation to terrible terrible terrible service

This new Refrugerator (one year old) has tripped my stand-alone circut breaker at least three times. If I reset the breaker-the fridge runs properly for 3 or 4 months--then repeats the same problem. this time I lost hundreds of dollars worth of food I had to throw out and clean the interior. I have had my elecctric checked out by a great electrican-and my electric is perfect. the problem is with thr fridge. your tech said theyy have seen issuees like this before, a refrigerator ws replaced, and the samer problem happened again--so they do not want to replace the unit/ I do not want to lose hundreds of dollars of food, or have to keep cleaning the unit after that happens.UPDATE--THEY NEVER FIXED THE ISSUE BECAUSE THE INFORMATION FROM THE TECH'S LAPTOP HE HOOKED UP THE THAT REFRIGERATOR SAID NOTHING WAS WRONG--EVEN THOUGH THE FREEZER AND REFRIGERATOR WERE AT ALMOST 70 degrees for a week before they finiallt got there for my emertency. The big box store where we had purchased the unit with a new unir for their cost, so my warranty for the unit didn;t do anything for me because of the tech report and what his report said. this is July 25, 2025 i just sw this email in my old laptop today. my new frididare we bought works just fine

Sears came out and diagnosed the problem. The tech charged $129. He told us to wait to see if the ice maker started to work again. It didn't. I called to have him come back again to replace the ice maker. I was given a 8:00am to 5:00 pm appt. I waited all day and at about 5:30 I got a call from the tech telling me they didn't have the parts yet. He asked me for the model number and wanted me to pay them up front for the work which had not been done yet. I told him that I would only pay after the work was done. He contacted his superior, and was told that he was correct. I told him that I would never pay for a job that had not been completed, and that their policy was ridiculous. Needless to say I canceled the job and will never do business with sears again. I thought the sears was a reputable company, but I have now changed my mind. If I could give them zero stars, I would.

The technician was well trained, personable and very effective! HOWEVER, the Sears process for finding our parts is horrible and inefficient!! We were without our dishwasher for around 6 weeks. When speaking to one rep, he indicated we would be getting a dishwasher replacement approval within 3 days! That time came and was told we had to wait another week! Then on Wed of the week we were suppose to have approval for a replacement, the part magically appears! Am very unhappy with the process and probably will not renew next time!

Sears app repair was chosen by my home warranty company. 4 service calls later (2 of which I waited all day . Only to get calls at the very end of the day to say they wouldn't make it. After taking off work and waiting all day!) I have rescheduled twice now for the 29th of May for them to to reschedule it themselves to an earlier date. The phone number they text you is defunct. Do not trust is sears for your service. They will waste your time and money . The app will lie to you about arrival times and they never show.

I don’t normally like to leave bad reviews, but I feel like this is the only way to be heard, sadly. Sears Home Services was the choice of my home warranty, which I’m considering cancelling. We had 2 issues related to microwave/range combo, which we had to pay for 2 service calls…ok, no big deal. The first call, the technician Sears sent to my home argued with both me and my wife and also refused to move the range, stating that we would have to move it ourselves. He upset my wife horribly, so we requested they not send that technician to our home again. Next call went fine, different tech, so we were good to go. Parts needed to be ordered, so another service call was in order. This time…back to the bad tech who argued with us. I tried all morning to contact someone at Sears to stop it, to no avail. Their call system is horribly inefficient, sending you overseas where they do not understand you or get the details correct. There is no way to get connected with the local service center or anyone stateside. Absolutely abysmal. Despite my efforts, the tech arrived and we refused the service call. He would not stop calling or banging on our door…for about 10 minutes. This is terrible service. Our range is still not fixed.
