Four visits and no repair still. I waited at home, all day long on four separate occasions, and two of the times they were a no-show. We are talking about 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM window, So literally waited all day at home twice. The third time they kept changing the arrival time, but finally showed up in the afternoon, again after an 8–5 window. After a few minutes of being there, he said I needed part, and that they were going to have to order it, and when it comes in they would reschedule me. When the part came in, they rescheduled me for the 4th time. Again I got an 8–5 window, and the guy showed up at 2:30 PM, and after a little while of him being there he told me that he wasn’t going to be able to repair it because his original diagnosis wasn’t the problem and the problem was my fault because it appeared as if moisture got inside the control panel and caused corrosion and that they weren’t going to be able to cover it under warranty because something must’ve spilled. Not true! On a prior conversation with this guy, after being stood up so many times he told me he didn’t get paid enough to care. I guess he wasn’t kidding. I asked for the phone number for his company, and he refused to give it to me. Across the board this was horrible service! A waste of four whole days during business hours. I can’t find a phone number for them anywhere.

I made an appointment for a Kenmore refrigerator repair. I was given an appointment window the following day of 8-5 pm. The next day I waited and received a voice mail at 11:45 am cancelling my appointment and rescheduling for September 10. Are you kidding me? I can have an appointment in 3 weeks. i cancelled and will not be using Sears Home services again.

I provided the error code for my Maytag washer to Sears days before the repair appointment, which said we needed a new control board. When the technician came he again looked up the error code and told me we needed s new control board. Then he said he could not get one and install it for us. He charged me 119.00 dollars diagnostic fee for a diagnosis we already knew, and told me to call someone else to get the part and install it. We're now back to square one and the laundry is piling up !

Requested diagnosis for a Maytag washer stuck in a cycle. Technician came listened to our description, tipped the washer up to see how much water was still in the machine, told us it was a drain pump problem, and gave us an estimate of almost $500. We asked if he should look for error codes or look at anything else to confirm and he said, based on his experience, it was a drain pump. I declined the repair because I could buy a new washer for another $100. I ordered a new pump online after realizing how easy the installation is. Before it arrived, I turned the washer over to access the pump (it is sitting in the open on the bottom). Lo and behold, staring me in the face was a broken wire to the pump. I spliced the wire together and the problem was fixed. Had the tech taken 5. minutes to actually look at the pump, he would have seen this and not quoted me a $500 repair. When I tried to find a customer service number to cal to ask for a refund of the $119 diagnostic fee, since I had done the diagnosing and repair myself, I spent two hours listening the computer selections that led me to no human being. I finally gave up and disputed the charge on my credit card. No diagnosis, no value for money paid, no customer service.

Tech was awesome, but customer service is beyond fubar told one thing by sales and nobody has a clue. Signed up for home warranty yet they lost what the other person said. tech was kind of in a pickle bcuz his billing said I owe them labor, he made 4 calls b4 someone had correct answers to my warranty info. would, NOT RECOMMEND UNLESS YOUR DESPERATE!!!!!!!!!!

Web scheduling page now confirms service YESTERDAY between 8am and 5 pm. Also confirms I will get a call from the technician YESTERDAY morning and the web page confirms an ETA update YESTERDAY. Phone number, web page and chat only offer up-sales of services automatically, no information on YESTERDAY'S service call. I'm still waiting for yesterday.

One star only because Jim was excellent the two times he came. The appointment last week never happened. No one showed up. NO ONE called me and NO way to contact the company. Only option I had was to reschedule. Lost one whole day waiting for a service call that never happened. Bad for my blood pressure. Terrible customer service. Also you should be able to give a 4 hour time frame and not expect customers be home and waiting an entire day.
