Overall the work completed was good but I would have hoped the technician would have tested the replacement parts to ensure installation was correct and the washing machine was working as expected without any leaks or drips.

Could not detect the problem. However, customer service should change their time slots for either morning or afternoon appointments. Too many hours in-between so that one can not make other plans but has to wait around for 9 hours to see if the tech shows up. I have had to reschedule because they ran out of time for the day and it was a no show. Very bad Experience.

You would think Sears Parts Direct (SPD), Sears Home Services (SHS), and Sears Home Warranty (SHW) would work more closely together. My range glass cooktop was not covered under SHW and needed replacement. I accepted that, so I tried to keep my business under the Sears umbrella to give Sears an opportunity to display good customer service. I expected I could use SHS to do the repair work (discount at SPD and SHS, states that in the SHW agreement). I contacted SHW who confirmed the top was not covered. They viewed it to affirm. I viewed SPD, the white range main top (their term) was not available. I spoke with SPD and asked if the black range top was equivalent (the website said it was), and they confirmed. I ordered it and received it. I worked with SHS to schedule a visit for repair - the repair visit was cancelled THREE times, a note on the website in midafternoon of an 8-5 window. Your phone tree makes it almost impossible to speak to a live person. When I chatted with the chatbot or a live person, they said they would escalate this. This was said after the first and second cancellations. Finally, on the third appointment, I spoke with Vish from SHS who has done repairs for us satisfactorily. There was some discussion about needing two repair people which I understand removing and replacing the glass stove top. There was also some background chatter about not doing the repair because the part was not obtained by SHS (I think), and they would not do the repair if it was not an exact match or if it was purchased elsewhere (hello, SEARS PARTSDIRECT?). From the response I received, it sounded like the three groups don't work together well. Is this true? Finally, on the fourth appointment today, Tom and Robert came to replace the top. Tom gave me the requisite disclaimers about replacement and if it didn't fit or if they damaged it, etc, etc. They determined the part was a fit and replaced it swiftly and efficiently. They tested and it works! Black cooktop on a white appliance is an okay contrast. Repair cost was a very good price for the time and work. I now have a question on warranty coverage on the work. I don't know if someone finally pushed this forward to satisfy a pretty frustrated customer. I am interested in a folllow-up on this, because I do not want a repeat of this. Tom and Robert did five star work, but I gave the whole process three stars. SHW, SPD, and SHS, please do better.
