Our technician Cal does fast and competent work. He’s very personable and explains things well. The company is now relying solely on AI for their scheduling and phone services. This resulted in our scheduled timeframe (8-10am) not happening and our service happened between 2 and 4 pm. That disrupts an entire days schedule, most people don’t have time to sit around all day. To reiterate, our technician did a great job and should not be penalized for the failures of the company, he communicated the scheduling situation well and informed us of the delay. AI is not the solution to all your problems, firing real people has reduced the quality of scheduling and made it more difficult for technicians to meet the timelines they are meant to.

Refrigerator repair person was nice. But he wasn’t considerate about wearing his shoes in the house; and I feel like he didn’t take proper precautions when moving the appliance such as being aware of the floor or the appliance hitting walls or corners. He was there to do work and moved fast, but would have liked to see him be a bit more careful.

I called Sears because my dryer wasn’t heating up. Two new parts, a week without a working dryer, and >$400 later they said it was fixed. First time using my dryer and it’s still not heating up. Very disappointed. Edit - Tuan was the third technician out to fix our dryer. He was extremely helpful and seemed to take more time and explain everything to me. Finally fixed! Grateful for Tuan!

Technician great, fees deceptive. The technician was super knowledgeable, communicative, and helpful. At the end I was slammed with an extra $20 fee because running the unit for 15 minutes after troubleshooting for an hour is apparently no longer “diagnostic” work. Whatever… no different than the coding and billing at a doctor’s office. Any sneaky trick to get into your home and get the job I guess. I wonder if anyone gets away with the initial $139 diagnostic rate?

My repair guy was great. I wish I could give him a review and then the overall experience a review. If my repair guy hadn't been so great, this would probably be 1 star. I hated my experience with Sears. Be warned the only human you will ever be even able to find is the repair person. Everything else is AI. My appointment had to be rescheduled multiple times. Couldn't talk to a human. I honestly thought Sears was just trying to steal my money but the repair was completed and everything works great. I wouldn't work with Sears again though.
