It would be nice to have a scheduled service appointment for a narrow band of time like 2 hours instead of the whole 8 hour day. Good service.
Rosalie S,
Customer service response - Thank you for your feedback. We appreciate your suggestion and apologize for any inconvenience caused by our current scheduling system. We will definitely consider implementing narrower time slots to provide a more convenient experience for our customers. Thank you for choosing our Sears appliance repair.

He was nice, but $248 is very high for a 10-min appt to tell me I need to find 1 of the parts & then schedule another appt. And I didn’t get a detailed receipt - only a text with the $248 charge. I’d like the detailed receipt that explains the cost breakdown.

This appointment was scheduled through a warranty company. The tech called me before arriving and asked what the issue was. I explained that the tenants had reported the AC was not cooling. He responded that he needed more detail, and I told him that was all the information the tenants had provided. When he arrived, the tenant came to the door and gave him the same description. The tech seemed annoyed by the lack of additional details and proceeded to tell me about a previous customer who couldn't specify that a capacitor needed to be replaced. I explained that a typical homeowner or tenant would not be expected to diagnose a failed capacitor or identify specific HVAC components. That's the reason a technician is called to troubleshoot and determine the cause of the problem. The tech gave the impression that he was frustrated with the service call and unwilling to investigate the issue. I understand it was the end of the day and he was running behind schedule, but the tech should at least act like he is willing to troubleshoot the call. I work with HVAC companies all the time and have never experienced this. I personally would never use this company again.

He did nothing to help get the AC unit working. Absolutely nothing, his partner told me to sign permission for him to work on the unit. When it was an actual signature for ALL the work. They did "NOT DO" I will be filling a claim with BBB.

Customer service is AI generated. Absolutely no human to speak with about an issue. Appointment was scheduled for Friday the 13th. By 2 pm I had not received any text confirming Appointment. I called the number. It stated nmtgw Appointment was for THURSDAY the 13th. WRONG!!!! Rescheduled for Monday. Arrival window is too long seven hours! Tech arrived at the 6th hour. No way to see where you fall on the days schedule . Question whether the problem is actually fixed as the door bushing was not replaced

Dishwasher repair. I had two different techs come out to examine my dishwasher. I'm not sure if it's a tech issue or a training issue for triaging problems, but.... The first was about 9 months ago when the machine stopped draining. He basically stood and looked at the machine for about 15 minutes, then said it's probably the impeller based on what I told him. Quoted me nearly $600 for the repair which I declined because no real diagnostic work was done and it magically worked for a while longer until.... The second was recently when the machine would load water, then stop running. A little google-fu indicated that it could be either a thermal fuse or a bad pump which my model is known for and I let him know that along with the fact that I'd pulled some gunk out of the spray arms so there might be a blockage in the pump, but it was never checked. He at least turned the machine on and let it run for a bit, but he decided that was a blocked drain hose which again would be nearly $700 to replace. I again declined because I'd removed it previously to check for a blockage (there was none) and I can buy a hose and clamp at Menards for less than $40. For a $139 diag, I feel like some actual basic diagnostic work should be done. Remove a cover, check the fuse, check out the filter, take it apart and examine it. Something other than turn it on and watch it for a while. Given the cost I can't recommend them based on these two visits.

Dishwasher appliance repair was cancelled after going without for 3 weeks. Repair guy was also supposed to work on AC. He was dismissive of issues, like it's "normal" for AC to not drop temp at all after running 4 hours. Guy put gauges on AC and added freon but didn't fix anything. While leaving he said he's no an HVAC guy. He does refrigeration. Still have the same issues as before.

Zero stars. Oven broke on electric range. First a tech showed up outside of the scheduled time window (when we weren't home), then another tech finally was sent out at an agreed upon time. This was now 2 weeks after our oven broke. Tech diagnosed problem and had us spend $800 in parts and future labor to fix. Fine. After the tech left, the stove was no longer working. Great. Now I can't cook at all. Service appt was scheduled 2 weeks out so parts could arrive. Parts were shipped to our home. On day of the service appt, Sears said that the parts hadn't arrived and tried to cancel our appt. We were literally looking at the parts... They had been sitting at our house for over a week! Husband convinced Sears to keep appt. It was supposed to be the morning yesterday. Then they called and said it would be the afternoon yesterday.... Then NO ONE SHOWED UP! No one ever called to reschedule or apologize. I tried to call the service # and it's just a bot with no access to a human at all. I asked her to reschedule the appt. She said there were no techs in the area and no service appts available... So, now we have 2 oven parts sitting at our house, we've paid $800 in parts and labor, and no one is going to bother fixing our oven... which has now been broken about a month. Would not recommend to a friend. I'm also leaving this review and not even sure what location to leave it for. The guy who serviced our house the first time said he drives for hours and hours, from Western Wisconsin and all around MN, to do service. So, no idea.... Regardless, would not recommend to a friend.
