I gave the tech 5 stars because I believe he did his job properly and I didn't want to punish him for the ridiculous rules handed to him by Sears. This whole ordeal started off on the wrong foot. My repair was originally scheduled for Thurs, but the tech called and said he would have to re-schedule me due to his workload not allowing him time to make my appointment. So I rescheduled for the following day (Fri). The tech came and diagnosed my ice maker not making ice due to a clogged saddle valve. When I ask him to go ahead and fix or replace the valve he told me he couldn't and that I would have to call a plumber to have this simple fix done. Paying $149 for a tech to come out and diagnose the problem, but he is prevented from doing the actual simple fix because because Sears doesn't allow him to is beyond unacceptable. I can't remember the last time I was screwed over so bad. When I called "Sears Appliance Repair", I fully expected an actual REPAIR to be a part of it. Now I have to call a plumber and start the whole house call fee structure all over again with the plumber.

David was prompt and got right to work. He quickly diagnosed the problem and gave me the bad news that I am better off buying a new dishwasher vs paying for the replacement part and having it installed. I will definitely contact Sears Appliance Repair again.
