I recently contacted Lowes Home Improvement to file a claim against my Protection Plan purchased to cover my washing machine. After 4 years the washing machine quit working. It was the decision of Sears Appliance Repair that they would not honor the Protection Plan because the cause of the breakdown to my washer was my WATER. I was told that because I was on a Well, that they would not repair or replace my item. Really? Isn't a washing machine supposed to be able to take in water? I'll not purchase another extended warranty from Lowes.

The communication with sears aplliance service was awful at best. I experienced long waits for both service calls I had.I would never recommend them. The only reason they got 2 stars is the technician fixed my problem.

The technicians that finally came are professional and technically experienced. They get my strongest recommendation. On the other hand, your system of coordinating when the technicians arrive vs when they have been scheduled is broken and should be an embarrassment to your company. On 4 separate occasions, I took time off to be available at the scheduled appointment time and no one showed up. After calling, I was told that “no one was available, so we will need to reschedule”. It is clear that my experience is hardly unique. The technicians get 5 stars, the rest of your system, gets a zero.

I would give the technician Dan 5 stars, but not Sears appliance repair. Took them nearly 2 months to repair my dryer. I’m glad it was finally repaired by Dan, he cares about and follows through with his work. Several others did not, kept getting passed from technician to technician.

Absolute worst experience of any repair I’ve ever had. Called to repair upper oven that wasn’t heating up. They came and repaired oven and didn’t connect properly and then lower oven didn’t work. After several no shows they finally fixed bottom oven and top oven still doesn’t work properly. I paid $600 and didn’t get anything resolved. They don’t have any customer service only AI. No way to contact anyone. Technicians don’t return calls. Avoid this company at all costs. Will be contacting better business bureau.
