Stephen, who was our final technician was extremely knowledgeable so I want him to get credit for completing the work but leading up to this point there was a mistake after mistake The diagnosis the first time was supposed to have all the parts come in technician ordered the parts for our Maytag washing machine we paid upfront. It took 10 days for the parts to come in and when they finally arrived, not all the parts were there we reschedule the technician to come out and it was another week before the technician could come out and then all the sudden the AI system would apologize and reschedule us. It took another two weeks before we had our technician come out when the technician finally came out informed us at all the parts for our machine were not there tried to re-order all the machines using the AI system AI wanted to charge us again for the parts. Even the technician was having a difficult time getting the AI system to understand that this was the same service and that it was a mistake on their part that the parts didn’t come in the new technician finally ordered the parts. The parts arrived four days later in duplicate. we got notice to schedule the technician. We scheduled the technician for four days later and on the day that our service was supposed to take place once again we got a message from AI advising us that they were sorry for the inconvenience, but the technician could not be out at our property to fix our washing machine. We were now going on to four weeks of being without a washing machine and not being able to do our laundry. Technician finally made it out to the house four days later and our washing machine still did not work and we were informed that what was actually wrong with the machine was not what was actually completely ordered so they had to put in another order for parts which they tried to charge us for the parts and additional $500 for mistake that they made technician was fantastic and made sure that they were aware that we shouldn’t be charged for this that this was a mistake made by the Sears repair service parts were ordered. It took another week for the parts to get in. I scheduled the technician to come out the day before they were supposed to come out, we got another notice that they were gonna have to reschedule took another week for us to get a technician to come out and finally complete the work on our washing machine so a service that started on June 2 of 2025 to have a washing machine fixed finally was resolved and fixed on July 22 of 2025. Sears may want to rethink their AI. They may want to offer incentives or whatever is necessary to get technicians into the appropriate areas so that people are not put into a position that we were we finally had to go Buy a brand new washing machine because we did not believe that we were ever gonna get our washing machine fixed so we ended up buying a brand new washing machine and they finally came out and fix the old washing machine. I guess we’ll have a standby in case something happens in the future.

1 star for the company and 4 stars to the very helpful and nice technician! Overall, I am disappointed I signed up for this service. I was referred by a family member who currently uses the service and convinced my husband it would be soo helpful. I purchased the sears protect home warranty on 9/4/24. My account became fully active on 10/04/24. On 9/24/24, the 1st tech came out and gave us estimate for repair. We scheduled the next appt for 10/8/24 to repair our ice maker and fridge drawer. 10/13/24 we get email that our tech is getting ready for our appt, then we get reminder email that our appt is in 2 days. Then on 10/17/24 - 1 day before appt, I get email that our appt was rescheduled to 11/25/24. I did NOT reschedule appt, so I call to follow up and I try every # possible to just speak to a representative/agent, no one can help me because on their end they can't see who or why appt was rescheduled. Tech comes out on 11/26/24 and orders replacement parts. Appt is scheduled for Christmas Eve, I get follow up email 1 day reminding me of appt. Then on Christmas Eve I get email that appt was rescheduled AGAIN for 1/14/25 due to the replacement parts not being delivered to my house in time, so I've now waited 2 months for replacement parts and when I spoke to tech on the phone he said they didn't even look like they had been ordered after my visit in November or they were on backorder and no one communicated that to me. I again try calling the # listed and I can't get thru to a representative, just automated response and I am beyond frustrated at this point, but my hands are tied because all I want is an ice maker that works because those 3 months being postpartum I just craved ice and I signed up so this service could be beneficial and helpful to me and my family, but it feels more like a burden at this point. Continuing my story, 1/14/25 comes and technician calls me to confirm I have all the parts, I tell him no so we have to reschedule appt AGAIN, now to 2/4/25. I call on 1/27 to let company know I still have not received replacement parts in mail, so we have to reschedule appt AGAIN to 2/11/25 and finally the parts come in and tech shows up. Tech fixes, but leaves all the old parts...my question is why wouldn't the tech take the broken parts with him, why is it my responsibility to dispose and why am I being charged all these months for my home warranty, if it takes 4-5 months to fix a problem and or wait for replacement parts, at this point I would like to be reimbursed and my warranty to be canceled without me being penalized, as now I have paid you enough $ that I could have bought a brand new fridge with the money I paid to fix our ice maker.

The Teck that fixed the refrigerator was very helpful, he did great it’s the call in the people that you talk to on the phone , the are worthless, I waited for a year to get my new refrigerator & then it was taller and I had to cut the cabinets to make it fit and when they delivered my refrigerator there was 3 guys and they tore up my door way going into the kitchen, I’m not happy about any of this 😖

Won't guarantee their work for more than 30 days! Having the same issue after less than 60 days and they want to charge me again!

Horrible service...keep rescheduling my repair appointment via text message...no call to see if we are available on reschedule date ...meanwhile we are sitting with a broken wash machine apparently waiting on a part we paid for... no explaination of why they continue to reschedle the repair via text...awful!! still waiting for a call...impossible to get a live human on the phone and when you do it's a call center person difficult to understand with zero information regarding our repair...so they pass you on...DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE! Second review message: I cannot send you a message at the address you provided and cannot get through your auto answering service to a live person...Horrible!!! You have my number please call me!

I contacted Sears Home Services to repair the digital screen on our refrigerator, which was damaged in an ice storm. A technician from A&E arrived on 4/11/23. He plugged a device in and reset the screen and it was fixed. The cost of this (5 minute) service was $269.00. I paid the bill on the spot and received a receipt indicating it was paid in full. I started receiving bills for the service a month later. After receiving a few bills I began attempting to call them to get the duplicate charge resolved. After spending hours on the phone in a never ending loop of prompts, I finally reached someone, who referred me to the billing department, for which you have NO option to speak with a live agent. I called and went through the whole process again and received an email address. I was told to send an email with the invoice and paid receipt, which I did. A month later it was referred to collection anyway, after all the time I spent on the phone and computer. I am now dealing with a collection agency for a bill that was PAID ON THE SPOT. I will never do business with Sears Home Services again!
