Fixed the washer, but broke a piece of plastic off doing so, didn’t tell us, and found it when starting my laundry.

I feel I was overcharged by a great amount...as I had already accessed the error code and knew what the problem was ...but was charged $139 for the tech to plug in two wires to verify...then I had to purchase the part ordered by the tech (which I could have purchased independently for $129) so I am not sure how much I paid for the part they ordered...then a different tech came to install the part which took all of 5 minutes...all in all I could have done this repair by myself...and would not have been charged more than $700...my recommendation is watch repair how-tos on line

We have had frustrating experience. Bought Maytag dishwasher 2021 and purchased 5 year warranty. It has overall worked fine. A couple months ago we noticed leak out of front bottom corner. After techs came, assessed and replaced part to fix leak, the dishwasher has been leaving food particles on dishes after every load. THIS WAS NOT HAPPENING BEFORE LEAK WAS CORRECTED. Each tech at each service call has implied that it’s my fault. They have questioned if I’m rinsing/washing dishes good enough before loading machine, loading properly, suggesting running with vinegar to clean machine, running afresh cleaning cycle, suggesting running normal high temp and sanitizer cycles, and saying maybe our old water heater isn’t heating enough. I have taken their advice and it’s STILL LEAVING FOOD PARTICLES. I just want to confirm that this wasn’t a problem before the leak and now even after following tech suggestions and basically washing dishes before cycles and washing machine itself and having replacement parts installed dishes are still dirty after it runs. And our water heater is new and works fine. Just had appointment today so hopefully this is last one and problem will be resolved. Too soon to tell. I will say that each tech arrived on scheduled day in 8am-5pm window and was pretty professional and polite and some new parts were installed.
