Tech was great. Part failed the day it was put in. Sears wants to charge to come out and replace the part even though the email they sent for this review says it is guaranteed for 90 days parts and labor.

The technician for my stand alone ice machine repair was good, but it takes two weeks to get them out for the first check on an extended warranty repair, and then of course he has to order a part. It was sent with a label cutting off the first few letters of every line, which meant that our substitute mail carrier had no idea where it went. Their faulty label took me hours to track down and retrieve from another post office, which was still sitting on it. Then I had to wait two weeks again to get the tech back out. This fixed the problem and the ice machine started making ice...and kept making ice, completely overflowing! So, two more weeks to get the tech back, who diagnosed a faulty sensor and ordered the part. This time he tracked down the part and had it couriered to the house the same day, and he came back after that and fixed it. So in my opinion their entire dispatch system is poor, but the tech was good and was able to get us going.

It took almost 2 wks to get an appointment to fix freezer. Tech was pleasant. Had to order part but he was able to make temp repairs so freezer worked until we received the part .

Repair guy was perfect--on time, efficient, nice. That was the second appt., however. The first appt. time, I was given a window from 1-5, and arranged for a friend to come over to baby-sit the repair person, since I had to be at work. At 5:30, nobody had shown up or called, and my friend left. That night when I got home, I had a note on the door, saying the repair person had "missed" me. The time it was written? 6:58 pm! I called repair the next day and told them what happened, was given no explanation and they acted like either they couldn't care less, or that it happens all the time, or both. They did, however, schedule another appt. for me, and this time the guy was prompt, as noted above. So, three stars, for lousy service by Sears, but excellent professionalism by the repair guy who actually showed up.

they repair my machine but they not change the filter i talk the mechanic and he said he don't have it when i call customer service i explain also about my filter and they said the mechanic is going to bring one and i still waiting.

Technicians arrived on time and were professional and courteous throughout BOTH appointments. Yes, one was not enough. Sears was advised by me that a water inlet valve was needed (because the old was discarded after it started to leak) prior to their first arrival. They arrived and analyzed the issue and determined the water inlet valve was needed. Of course, one would presume water inlet valves would be in stock and on the truck. After ordering one on a Friday, they said it would arrive on Monday and I could schedule the tech once the part arrived. The part arrived on a Wednesday and due to travel commitments, I could schedule them until the next week. Once the second tech came and installed it, all worked well. Again, the techs were great, professional and courteous. This lack of a normal refrigerator part not in stock and on the truck and the delay in receiving the part is why they are only receiving 3 stars.

I made an appointment with Sears with a 5 hour window. No one showed or called and this is not the first time. I received a call the next day from the technician saying that he was downstairs and needed to be let into the condo. His explanation was that my number could not be found the day before. I have to make this call every year for my dishwasher because almost all of the plastic pieces inside usually are broken off. The wait and the not showing up is becoming a habit.

The service was great. Repair complete. My debit card was charged twice. No easy way to speak to someone. I contacted my bank for assistance.
