Scheduled for 8-10 a.m. Told he would be at my home between 3:30 and 5:30. Showed up at 2:30. I wasn't home. He dealt with my husband. I have no idea what he did. I understand there were scheduling problems, but that was ridiculous.

The Tech was professional and on-time. My washing machine works well now, but the tech left his a box of his trash on my dryer and replaced the necessary part to fix the washing machine PRIOR to discussing with me and informing me of the costs to fix it so I could determine if I wanted to pay to have it fixed or even if I could afford to have it fixed at that time. Not good way to do business.

First of all you can not trust them for their commitment in adhering to the appointments they setup. They may end up wasting two or three days before they appear finally. Secondly every time you cal sears you will be talking to a new person and you will have to begin as fresh as their call handlers will not understand what happened on previous call. It is such a painful experience, However finally repairs were taken care after waiting for 4 weeks. They left it without testing and we found washer leaking and soap dispenser hold-back lock broken. They left vent pipe for dryer as it is after moving dryer down which could be a fire hazard as per the dryer manual. Called customer support folks and waiting for someone to call back..

Although my washer was eventually taken care of, it took an extra trip and 10 days longer because the technician didn't want to pull my washer out of it's location. Said it was to much of a liability to pull from underneath the counter. It took me 1 minute to slide it out. But the previous technician who assessed the damage didn't have a problem.

This was a second -- soon to be third -- return visit to repair the dishwasher which is not draining properly at the end of the cycle. The first repairman cleaned out the clogged vent on the top of the sink by the hand spray. Finding there was a problem there, he was too happy and quick to assume that would make the dishwasher complete its final drain. If he had taken the time to run the shortest rinse cycle of 11 minutes, he would have seen as we soon did that the problem was still there. The second repairman, like the first, was also polite and seemed competent. He decided we needed a new hose directly connecting the dishwasher to the disposal bypassing the now unclogged vent. He, too, however, was unwilling to test it by waiting 11 minutes to run the rinse cycle to see if it was truly fixed. He tried to interrupt another cycle to test it, but it did not drain properly which he blamed on the interruption. Apparently these men felt more pressure to keep their appointment schedule than to be sure the job was done correctly. The third repairman will come next week. I will bar his way to leave until we run the 11 minute rinse cycle and he waits to see if it is truly fixed.

The Sears Service Rep was very nice and polite. He fixed the freezer which had been frosting over quite a bit, and after he service it, it dehumidified and stopped frosting over inside. However, we also had advised him that the refrigerator was no longer cooling. No matter how muchwe turned down the temperature of the fridge, it still would not cool. He said he repaired that, but in the days after his visit, there was no change in the interior temp of the fridge. It stayed mildly cool but not cold. Food continued to spoil. We called and have another "repair" date for this problem.

Repair was completed as scheduled, unfortunately the result was not acceptable. Freezer still not working. Trying to re-schedule is proving to be difficult.
