I had an absolutely terrible experience with Sears Home Services and would strongly caution anyone against using them for appliance repair. In November, a technician came to service my dishwasher and told me that if I signed up for a warranty, the service visit fee would be waived and all my appliances would be covered within 30 days. He briefly pushed in the motor, identified it as the issue, and left. Fast forward to January—my dishwasher had issues again, and a Sears technician visited my property, met with my tenant, and ordered the necessary parts. Shortly after, I received an email from Sears stating that the technician had received the parts and that I could schedule the repair. Based on this, I scheduled the appointment—only to find out that the technician never actually received the parts. Instead, Sears had mistakenly shipped them to a different address. What followed was hours of wasted time on the phone—being transferred from one department to another, with no one taking responsibility. I was promised a callback from a manager that never happened. Then, Sears had the audacity to email me, demanding that I return the parts I never received. I provided clear evidence that the delivery was made to the wrong address, but Sears ignored my response. After filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, Sears responded with false claims, stating that my dishwasher was never covered under the warranty and that I had refused an estimate—both of which were completely untrue. Meanwhile, when I disputed the charge with my credit card company, Sears contradicted themselves and claimed they had been working with me on repairs—another blatant lie. At the end of the day, Sears refused to honor their commitments, ignored my concerns, and left me with no choice but to purchase a brand-new dishwasher. This company is dishonest, disorganized, and completely lacking in customer service. Avoid them at all costs.

Worst experience with scheduling and re- scheduling. they never show up on time - and their website do not provide any info other than cancelling or rescheduling the service. they change the appointments to their own wish and top of it they say that they are rescheduling upon our request. - which you never did. please avoid sears home services and use a better agent for you issues and who can fix at the time they say.

Dealing with Sears Home Services was not pleasant in any way other than the great service we received in person from our installation tech: Ransford. He was polite, respectful, honest, and very professional. The interaction with him made me feel better about the money we spent and the ridiculous amount of frustration we experienced from the initial visit on 12/27/2024 to the final repair on 1/31/2025. It would be great if the call center staff were able to communicate/explain and manage the appointment & parts ordering process as well as Ransford managed the actual repair. I had no idea what was happening as my order was cancelled twice. No one ever explained that the parts needed were expected to be shipped directly to me and I was supposed to wait for them to arrive and then call to schedule the installation of those parts. I was never notified that the parts were on backorder either - I discovered that when I finally got frustrated with the delay and looked online to see what the status of the order was. I spoke with the call center 5 times before the process was explained to me. Even then, I had to spell out what I thought was happening and the person on the phone said, "Yes, I think that's right."

I am completely dissatisfied with the Sears Repair program, so I would give them 0 starts if I could. While their technicians are very responsible, I can not say the same about those in the company, including the billing department. Over a month ago, I was charged over $1,000 in advance for a refrigerator service repair (compressor replacement). However, the technician was unable to repair the refrigerator as the replacement part ordered by Sears was broken, plus the refrigerator had some additional issues. While Sears personnel agreed that I should be refunded for the repairs cost, it has been a month and several phone calls to their billing department (who never answers), and I am still waiting for my reimbursement. Sears is quick to charge for repairs but neglects to fulfill their promise of reimbursing their customers when needed. DO NOT MAKE business with Sears; instead of repairing your appliance, just get a new one to save money and headaches.

Cancelled twice with no notice and no phone call. They make it impossible to talk to a live person about your existing repair job unless you call the line for new repairs. The technician did a good job once he actually showed up, but left the floor really dirty.
