Worst appliance repair service I have ever used. They give you an 8 hour window to wait for them to come. The first day the guy came early to fix my washing machine, which was great. It is only a few years old so the fact that it even needs a repair is disappointing. He diagnosed the problem as a faulty pump. I argued with him some saying that I didn't think it was the pump since it was draining some of the time and it seemed more like the problem had to do with switching between the cycles than the pump not working. He insisted that it was the pump and replaced the pump. Needless to say, this did not fix the problem. I called them back to schedule a second service and they were polite and offered to squeeze it in the next day. I got a call at the end of the day that they weren't going to make it after all. They said I was scheduled for the following Monday. They never showed up and again I got a call at the end of the day saying they couldn't make it and were coming the next day. I waited most fo the next day before giving up and canceling the repair. Nobody has days to miss work and wait around for a washing machine repair. I called and asked to be refunded for the repair that did not fix the machine. The first time the woman said she submitted the request and it would take 7 to 10 days for review. I waited 10 days and had heard nothing. I called back today and the guy said that she never submitted the refund request. Assuming that this guy actually did, I now have to wait 7 to 10 more days to hopefully get my money back for a repair that did not fix my machine that was done a month ago. Then I can actually get it fixed by someone who shows up and knows what they are doing. I definitely do not recommend this service. Now they offer to try to resolve it after getting a bad review, but they only give me a link to message them on facebook. I am not a facebook user. They have all of my contact information and that would be the proper way to reach out. This is obviously just to try to save face and not a real attempt to resolve the situation. I still have not been contacted by email about my refund request.

If there were an option to rate Sears home services any lower I would. The past 2 months of dealing with this company has tried my patience more than arguing with a toddler. Our dishwasher stopped working at the beginning of September and we used our Sears home Warranty to have it repaired. Over the past 2 months we’ve had seven tech visits to attempt to fix this dishwasher. 2 of those visits we stayed home for our 8am-5pm service window only for A&E factory Service to not bother showing up. Beginning of October it looked like they might actually get this thing fixed. The tech installed all the parts and everything was working. Except the non-genuine GE motor they installed had a small leak. Luckily the tech had a genuine ge part in his truck. But he was over zealous when he assembled everything the first time and tore the gasket of the drain assembly. We had to wait an additional 2 weeks for that part and have them show up on the 23rd to repair. They never showed, Despite having sent me several confirmation messages through email and text that my appointment was confirmed. Good luck calling anyone and getting someone in the United States to talk to. If I call Sears, Sears Home Warranty, or A&E factory service I get the same call center in “Southeast Asia”. The call center employees all say we’ve reached the right person and they’d be happy to help us. The only thing they have any power to do is refer us to the “escalation team” which will respond in 5-7 business days. The escalation team has never been back in touch with us. After the missed appointment I was lucky enough to get through to the customer retention team in Florida where I thought someone might have some integrity. I was remiss in that assumption. They told me my appointment had to be rescheduled because my home warranty payment for November had not gone through and I needed to provide an up to date payment method. This was still in October mind you, for a repair that should have happened in September. After informing her I should still be covered for September and October she told me “that’s not how this works sir”. At this point I’ll be damned if I give Sears another dime for any product or service for the rest of my life. This company cannot fail fast enough. I remember when Sears was a store of integrity. Any craftsman tool that broke or failed, you’d bring it back and they’d stand by it. Those days are long gone. My advice to anyone considering Sears would be forget they exist exists. Run. It died a long time ago, [name redacted] killed it and he’s made sure it says dead. And any goodwill the Sears name may have had is gone and tainted with this experience. either fix it yourself, buy a new one, or call someone or some business who actually cares. Sears is not it. P.s. They called this morning to show up for another appointment I did not make. I’ve made it abundantly clear to never return.
