Fortunately/unfortunately, the dishwasher started working again shortly before the repair visit. Could not diagnose the problem after thorough inspection, but quoted on potential problems. Probably better off just buying a new dishwasher of this persists.

My trash compactor was under Lowe’s service agreement and Sears did the work. Both technicians were fine but contact proceedure was terrible
