Overall rating

Would leave less than one star if possible. Waited 12 hours for the repair man. The time kept getting pushed back. Took entire day off work for nothing. Poor customer service.

Unfortunately, it took Sears 2xs to find our house. The techmician the 1st time NO showed. The 2nd appt I set up did not go any better. He arrived and stayed approx. 15 minutes. He looked at Refrigerator (Ice maker), reset it and than told us the whole thing needed to be replaced for $1100.00. We paid $1500.00 for the Refrigerator. VERY over priced. The ice maker is not under warranty 3 years old. Understood. Will not be using their services any longer. For $135.00 15 minute look...

Extremely Disappointed with Service! The technician arrived at 1:15 PM for an appointment that was scheduled between 8 AM and 12 PM, with no communication to inform me of the delay. I paid $650 in advance for parts and labor, and now my washing machine is leaking. When I asked to speak with a live customer service representative, the technician provided an incorrect phone number. To make matters worse, there appear to be no live representatives available, making it impossible to reach anyone for help. I have never been so disappointed in a company. Based on this experience, I will never use Sears again and will share this experience with others so they can be aware of the lack of accountability and customer support.

Technician was fine But I would not recommend this company. I gave error message so they could come with part to repair. Turns out they don’t give parts to repairman when they are dispatched. Just another way to delay the process and cost customer more money and time. Oven repair

We identified a problem with our fridge in June, 2025. Had a Sears technician come out 7 Jul 25 to troubleshoot. He identified 3 parts that were put on order to complete the repair. Subsequent appointments were rescheduled 5 times at 10 day intervals because two of the three repair parts were still on order. A technician finally repaired the fridge on 24 Sep 25 and did not need the two parts that had been on order since 7 Jul 25 and finally arrived on 20 Sep 25. He was able to repair the fridge with the part that actually arrived on 18 Jul 25. We were not provided instructions to defrost the fridge in preparation for the repair date. Technician resorted to pouring numerous containers of hot water into the fridge to clear the ice preventing the disassembly necessary to remove and install the defective fan. It was a mess. On 18 Sep 25 I was finally able to speak with a real person in customer service to complain about the back-ordered parts. I was informed after 10 days of the parts being unavailable I should have lodged a complaint to activate a special repair team to locate the parts in question. Ironically, Sears told me in email and text each of the five times my service appointment was postponed that it was because the parts were still not available. It was not until I demanded a replacement fridge that the delayed parts miraculously arrived. Any quality organization would have figured out the need to search for repair parts more rigorously without the customer telling them what they already knew - the parts had not been delivered! Meanwhile, we loaded and unloaded the fridge and freezer to transfer food to a second appliance for nearly three months because the malfunctioning fridge was intermittent. The technician who finally repaired our fridge actually did a good job given the circumstances. Of course, he was not the technician who originally diagnosed the fridge problem and ordered the unnecessary parts that ultimately delayed the repair.

Update: The number and website provided in the response from Sears to this review, is just their normal automated number and website that you use to set up and or get information on your repairs or orders. It is impossible to get a hold of an actual person to fix anything. It's the same number that I was attempting to call when I was with the repair technicians to try and resolve the issues on the days that it was occurring. Sears's own technicians couldn't even get a hold of a real person to assist because of all the automation. So sad that people at Sears have lost their jobs to AI and automated systems. Sears will be losing my business at this point even though my dad always trusted Sears to help him. I will be ending that trend in my family. The technicians were super good. Highly recommend their work. My frustration comes with the miscommunication when setting up the appointments. When I had the first technician out, I had to pay a service fee. Which is understandable. Nothing was done to my washer but I was told if the error came back that I should schedule another appointment and they would come out and I wouldn't have to pay the service fee again. The error came back the next day when I was running a load of laundry. When I had them come out to repair it again, I was charged a fee a second time for the same issue that still isn't resolved. Granted I believe if we get the part that was suggested that it will most likely be fixed, but I'm just outraged that I had to pay the fee twice and repair my own machine.

We scheduled for a 1-5pm window and received a text that the technician was on their way 2 hours early. We “rescheduled” for our original time slot because no one would be home at that time. We waited all day with no communication and the repair technician never showed up. There’s absolutely no way to get ahold of an actual person to figure out what’s going on. Beyond frustrating, will find another repair service

The Tech stated I hear back from a Sears Rep. within a a couple hours and I never heard back from anyone. Lastly, Sears warranty coverage/ program is misleading I was told because the Tech couldn’t read the serial number they couldn’t help me .

I spent over an hour sending pictures, codes, and information to this company before they would even schedule an appointment. The companies response was: AH, yes. This is the motherboard for your microwave. We will order it and send the technician to your house when it arrives, sometime next week. The following week the technician showed up, and said: AH, yes. This IS your motherboard I will have my home office order it, and we will be out to replace it when it comes in.... The motherboard arrived 8 days later, I informed the home office, and they scheduled someone to come out 2.... weeks... later..... Microwave works fine... now...
