It’s been 3 weeks since we had a technician come to our house to diagnose the problem with our refrigerator. Parts were ordered and delivered. Now we are waiting for a technician to come and complete the repair. They give 8-12pm or 1-5pm window and so far they have not showed up and rescheduled 4 appointments at the end or past the time frame window. Labor and parts have already been paid for in full (they require that at the diagnostic appointment). Can barely get ahold of a real person and when you do they are human robots who don’t know the answer to any of your questions. At this point, I truly believe this is a front, scam! I would never recommend this company to anyone. Don’t even bother if you have a warranty, it’s not worth your time, money, or mental health!

They cancelled my appointment because they could not find parking, said they would come back later in the day and then never did.

Sears was contracted through my home warranty to repair my fridge, the first technician that came out said they needed to replace my compressor so I had to wait 2 weeks for parts to arrive and for another technician to come and install it. During the second appointment the new technician said that the first had misdiagnosed the issue and that they would have to order more parts to make the repair. 2 weeks later I check my appointment portal to find that they canceled the repair without telling me because they could not find the parts. Had I not checked I would still be waiting for an update. Now it has been another 2 weeks of me calling them relentlessly because they will not send the diagnostic report to my home warranty so that they can replace my fridge. Every time I call they tell me the same thing, that they put in the request to send the report and I should hear back within 24-48 hours and so far I have gotten nothing. I shouldn't have to request that they send this report in the first place it should have been sent as soon as it was made. Both technicians were on time and friendly however customer service and whatever is going on behind the scenes is a nightmare.

This Company is a scam. I had an A/C and heater installed 12 months before it stopped working which I later found out was due to wires rubbing on the exterior and slicing through them. They could not send a tech out for a month. I had an infant at home with a pregnant wife and child in the middle of a heat wave in summer. The tech that came out had no idea what he was doing and needed to have another tech come and check it out but would not be available for another 3 weeks. In addition to not fixing the problem and wasting 6 hours at my house they charged us $200 for a diagnostic fee but failed to actually diagnose it. We were able to call another company the next day and they showed up that afternoon and had it fixed in 30 minutes after arriving. 10 months later, this company is still setting up appointments and stating they will charge me if I don't call and cancel. I have cancelled 3 times already stating that I had another company fix the problem. They have now decided to schedule me for appointments and are not allowing me to cancel online or over the phone. If this continues I will be reaching out for legal services and will consider launching class action lawsuit against this company. Please do not inquire about services or purchase appliances from this company as this place is a scam.

Came out 3x for SAME problem and made me pay THREE times - once, their fix did not work, then, they could not re-create the problem and told me to videotape it if it happened again and they would come out and service it for free on the next time, then on the next time I had three videotaped incidents, they refused to fix it for free and charged me again. I had to pay THREE times for ONE problem.

I found out late last night the thermostat problem was in fact not fixed, as Arturo said it was. The temperature dropped to 62 degrees when he said he set it to hold at a constant 72, and the fan would not turn on at all. The fan worked fine before he touched the furnace, no matter if I pushed it up to 80. This was the very problem he was supposed to fix! I left a message on his cell phone that I need it to be corrected this morning (1/20). Please respond!

The serviceman arrived to fix a broiler that would not start. He agreed that the broiler was broken and ordered the necessary parts to be delivered to my home. He saw that I had a coupon in hand which he requested. He applied the discount to the total cost of the repair, stating that the coupon saved me $52.55. He then presented me with a printed receipt for the total of $210.23, which included the discount. I paid for the repair in full with my Sears credit card. The serviceman stated the repair would take 15 minutes and would return in a week for installation. One week later the same serviceman arrived and installed the ignition device and the oven worked properly. The serviceman then printed up a new receipt which he gave to me for an additional charge of $52.55. I asked what that was for and he said the original bill was left open ended for parts. I again questioned the new charge as I had already paid in full including parts, and he again repeated that the first receipt/bill was an open ended receipt for parts. I did not want to argue with him and I signed for the additional $52.55. Later upon viewing and comparing the two receipts it became obvious that the serviceman charged me for the coupon discount that he had originally applied to the repair which was $52.55. He had an apprentice with him this time and for an unknown reason refused to explain the unexpected new charge he presented. This additional charge was not right and I contacted customer service to complain. I spoke to customer service agent Sabastion who stated that someone would get back to me either with a phone call or an email within 24 hours. Sabastion tried to sell me vinyl siding and cabinet resurfacing on the way out the door. Apparently he had no idea that I was not happy with Sears. This was 7 days ago and I have not heard from Sears to date. I contacted Sears credit card company to dispute the last charge and have not heard back from them either to date. This is terrible customer service and a terrible business practice. There is plenty of competition in the appliance repair industry and this is no way to treat a customer that has had a Sears card since 1976.

The repair job went fine but I'm very frustrated that this is the second time that I have had to get the same problem with my washer machine fixed. In addition to that, every time I call for service, the first appointment (requires time off work) is just for them to diagnose the problem, then the second appointment (requires more time off work), is finally when it gets fixed because the part has to be ordered. This has now happened twice, do the math on how much of an inconvenience this has been. All this time goes by and I still don't have a washer that works for weeks at a time. This transmission problem has happened TWICE now and this is a KENMORE wash machine. Why does Sears not STAND behind their products. I will never buy an appliance made by Kenmore again and will advise all of my family and friends of the problems I had so they will do the same.
