Service technician arrived on time, fixed the 2 stove burners that would not light, and explained to me what he did.

On-site repair guy, Dave Smith, was great. Found problem right away and got parts and returned to install them the same week. Polite, efficient and timely. Only reason to withhold 5th star on this review is that the online rep wanted me to "wait & monitor" the problem for a few days before dispatching a repair tech. I understand the reluctance to send out a truck unnecessarily but, in my experience, appliances don't magically heal themselves if I watch them while they don't work and the reason I have a Maintenance Agreement is that I want the appliance fixed when it stops working.

When placing the service request, the phone representative pushed a home warranty sales pitch aggressively. Outside of that, the technician was quick and knowledgeable in the appraisal.

Our Maytag dryer wouldn't spin. A&E (used to be called Sears), arrived on time and identified the problem in about 10 minutes. A metal strap that holds the filter came loose and got stuck in the fan attached to the motor - stopping it from spinning. Peter removed the item, and all was good. So the service was great - 5 stars. The telephone service call scheduler pushed very hard for a service contract for all of our appliances, but I expected that. Most companies do that these days. The bad/irritating problem was the "automated" followup system which 3 times in 3 days texted me to say my appointment wasn't confirmed unless I responded with a "1", which I promptly did every time, yet it kept saying I wasn't confirmed. Finally, on my appointment day (Monday) at noon, I got a message confirming my appointment for Tuesday, but using Monday's date. I almost laughed at it. 2 hours later Peter arrived and repaired the machine. We're it not for the awful back-office systems, this would have been a glowing 5 stars.
