The TECHNICIAN was very nice and was adept and fixed the problem quickly. HOWEVER, getting him to actually come to the house was a ROYAL PAIN. That was the SCHEDULING DEPT'S FAULT! It took only a few days to get the part to the house. But it took OVER A MONTH to understand that fact after numerous phone calls and rescheduling several times!! Ridiculous for Sears to handle a simple repair so badly!

We have a pre-2/2021 Home Depot warranty on our dishwasher, and apparently they use Sears for the claims/service calls. The guy they sent (John from A&E Factory) didn’t actually look at our dishwasher at all, just turned it on, sat on hold for 10+ minutes with someone (either Customer Service to update them or to order parts, we assume), told us the parts WE needed to order, and told us how much WE would have to pay. He didn’t give us any additional information at all. When we called Home Depot warranty to tell them about the experience, they let us know that once Sears closes out the claim we have to call back to reopen it (we have to wait 24 hrs for them to submit their report from the “visit”). UPDATE 7/26/25: John came & replaced parts after 2 reschedules, and the noise is worse.

This is the worst Customer Service ever. The automated system does not give the customer a chance to actively engage with a person. You must be available between 8 AM and 5 PM at the whim of the Sears Customer Service program. Regardless of the hours, I spent trying to get a hold of a person to let them know that I had to work for one and half hours during that eight hour period, they came during that time I needed to be at work even when I was clear. This is the worst customer service, Very disrespectful and ignores customers needs.
