Do not work with Sears Appliance Repair. They use an AI agent to process appointments and that agent will send the incorrect technician to resolve the requested issue even if the company does not provide the service. In our situation, we requested someone to inspect and service our dryer and ventilation duct. The technician they sent could not inspect the duct and no one in the company is able to do so. The technician will refuse to connect you with anyone to remedy any problems that come up with the service and will refuse to leave until they collect payment for the service they did not provide.

Booked a technician to assess our dryer and dryer vent. According to the robotic booking system this was possible. The technician is only able to look at the dryer. We now owe $129 for a service that was only half of what we needed. We called customer service and they basically said too bad so sad we don’t work with vents that’s a different phone number. No offer to connect with the vent service or to put the service down payment toward the vent repair as our machine isn’t broken. I asked to speak to a manager, was told they can’t help either, was then connected and have been on hold for 20 minutes. If your robotic scheduled is going to lie about what a technician can do, please go back to using people. I asked to speak to representative when booking and it told me it would not connect me to a person. I personally will never use Sears again, and will advise all others not to as well. Update: it has now been 30 minutes on hold and the technician won’t leave until we pay, but we have to pay through the bot on the phone that we can’t get through to. He also can’t get through to anyone. So I guess it sucks to be both a customer and an employee.

The service was not provided when initially scheduled, and I was not informed the appointment was rescheduled for TODAY until pass the appointment time, via a text....I never received a call from Sears throughout the entire day to provide an update or to inform me the appointment needed to be rescheduled, and offer an apology. A total waste of my day and time. Today, first thing this morning, I receive a text saying I can expect services between 8-9, AGAIN NOTHING... 3:30 this afternoon, while out running errands that was put off from yesterday, I received 2 text messages from the technician who followed up with a call saying they were en route ...for which at the time I was not home.... I'm rating Sears, Your AI Automation, and the Technician I spoke to a -10

I hired this company for a simple repair, and it turned into a two-week nightmare. Poor communication, constant delays, and the job was never finished properly. Definitely not recommended if you value your time.

They charged me $249 to come out and look at my nonworking built-in microwave. I was told if I repair the microwave the amount will be credited towards the invoice. I told the repair man to fix it, but he said the part he needs is no longer available. This microwave was bought with my stove, just 11 years ago at Sears Therefore, I said you need to reduce the service call to the normal $129 fee but he said he cannot. He said that I was right about my request and gave me two phone numbers for customer service to wage my complaint, but both numbers had no options for questions or complaints about my situation. I spent a lot of time on the Internet, trying to obtain a phone number that would allow me to ask for this credit, but there seems to be no such department. I will not recommend Sears because they are a rip off.

The technician that visited on 11/20 indicated I needed a back vent seal and that the part was out of stock, when the second repairman came he brought and replaced the door seal. Sadie was also supposed to change the light bulb inside the oven and said that it required an entirely new socket! Went to another company and that repairman replaced the light in 2 minutes.

Overall rating

Very deceptive practices that will be reported to the BBB and discussed with an attorney. Technicians cancel appointments never show up and report that they did. Not sure how this can be legal. I am going to find out. My washer has never been serviced or repaired.
