This review is for Sears service overall. They were very untimely and had terrible customer service when scheduling appointments. You are unable to schedule a service time, only the option of "anytime between 8:00AM-5:00 PM". If you do need to contact them, you are only able to talk to an AI robot and not able to speak with a live representative. Walter, our SECOND repairman, did a wonderful job and was very polite (giving them their second star rating, otherwise would have been 1 star). Lowered this down to 1 star. Had to have them come back out to finish the job, which should have been done on the first two visits. They cancelled their first appointment and didn’t show up for the rescheduled one. And the number they provided in the review comment…also leads to an AI/robot prompter!

After message below from owner where they give me a number to call yet you only get to talk to an AI/computer, not even an option to talk to human? What a way to do business, or NOT a way to do business! Make you wait 6 of the 9 hrs just to text and cancel, can not call talk to rep. If you can't do the job get out of the business!

Be nice if someone could answer but after the automated prompt you get hung up on. No wonder they are such a small company compared to what they used to be.

So many issues. First request was okay, tech showed on the day, he. Did not have the correct phone number so didn’t call ahead. Even thought I requested it to be updated. He asked way too many personal questions, like if she lived alone, anyone else lived close by, how many kids he had, etc…these are safety questions that should not be asked. He order parts and scheduled to come back to install. 6/11. I call and told the parts were delivered and asked for an earlier install days. None was available. I also provide my phone number, since it wasn’t previously on the order. They say they would call the day of on their way. In the mean time I see my services date got move to 6/12 with no notification. I chatted with sears and they got me back on the schedule for 6/11. No call was give on 6/11 , install day, waiting all day. Chatted with rep that evening and ask why no show, then mentioned we didn’t have the parts. I call the week before to confirm we did! And Sears even sent me the tracking number of the Parts! So they knew they were therr. Wa ls last told the next available appoint was for 6/18. (Another week later!!!) Asked again to update my phone number. It didn’t update..even asked chatted back about my phone number being update, they ensure me it took time and it will update. So had to wait another week. Then the next day 6/12 the, tech came was a note on the door someone came to install. Which not one was home, cause we didn’t expect anyone till 6/18. No one called to tell me and I didn’t have an appointment!! Again cause they never updatd my phone number after the 5th request. Chatted again with Sears on what happened and they closed the case and I was told to open a new one with my home warranty!!! Mind you all this is happening while I am out of the country and I was up way past midnight with the time difference to get this figure out, for the second day in a row! So I call and have to open a new request, even though the first request was never finished. Got on the schedule for 6/18. mid morning 6/18 I get a call that the tech is sick and isn’t coming today and can’t come till 6/21. I got many calls about what I’m terms was going on, I asked them to refer to the old service request since I sure the previous tech had note and knows better that. He was rude and wouldn’t look up the. He said it too too much digging. I am not a dishwasher tech and just told him it isn’t working. I have the parts the previous guy ordered and just need someone to install. So now my tenant is going on almost a month with out a dishwasher!! I can’t even make up all the things that happened and how incredibly frustrating this was. The tech did actually show, to my surprise and called before hand, on 6/21. The dishwasher seems to be working! Which is all I wanted a month ago!!! I will not be renewing with my home warranty company, or any home warrenty company, if they use sears in the It here all was a horrible experience.

Walter was very rude, condescending, inconsiderate, judgmental and opinionated. Acted like he own the house. Questioned the age of wife. Very first question he asked was about payment … not even what the service was about. Definitely not recommend Walter. Sears might be okay but not Walter

My warranty company contracted Sears Home Services to repair my dishwasher. A technician came out early July to inspect the dishwasher. He ordered parts without knowing what was wrong with the dishwasher and said they would be shipped to my house. He rescheduled the repair for late July. The scheduled appointment came and went without the parts being delivered and no notifications from Sear Home Services. After attempting to contact Sears Home Services to inquire on the delay, I had to resort to contacting my warranty company. The Sears Home Services phone number will not connect you to a human. The parts were finally ordered and they arrived in late September. The Sears Home Services scheduled a repair appointment and on the day of the appointment they rescheduled the appointment without any reason for the rescheduling. Again, I couldn’t inquire with the Sears Home Services because no human will answer the phone. The repair was rescheduled in October. The technician arrived and inspected the parts. He made a 5 minute phone call and he was instructed to not complete the repair because the parts and labor would cost more than the value of the dishwasher. Why couldn’t this information have been obtained back in July? The technician took the parts with him and said I’d hear back from the warranty company on next steps. Experience started off as okay and ended with a lot of frustration due to the lack of communication and transparency by Sears Home Services.

HE DID NOT DO THE JOB. HE DID NOT EVEN TELL US WHAT THE PROBLEM WAS WITH THE OVEN. THE OVEN IS NOT WORKING BECAUSE HE DID NOT FIX THE PROBLEM. HE WAS DEMANDING MORE MONEY FROM ME, ALTHOUGH I TOLD HIM THAT I COULD ONLY PAY $80 AND THE REMAINING AMOUNT WOULD BE PAID BY THE COMPANY, SELECT. HE IS VERY UNPROFESSIONAL AND RUDE.
