3rd time the charm? Jury's still out on this one.
When I made my initial call to fix the frost that was forming on the freezer door, I told sears that the gasket needed to be replaced. First repair visit, the tech tried heating the gasket for a better seal. Also asked tech to correct my address apartment number on the service request. Frost problem got worse. Called for 2nd repair, again I said a new gasket is needed. Same tech came and tried to fix the same old gasket, finally said need a new one. Tech placed an order for the gasket and door hinge washers. Alas, tech had shipment sent to the wrong apartment. The apartment number was still wrong. Door hinge washers went to wrong apartment, vacant at the time, and was thrown away by res mgr. Gasket found its way to my unit. Bowman came to install the new gasket. Very personable. Skilled. Humidity still causing frost, but not as bad as with old gasket. I will apply Vaseline to see if it seals better.
